Fatal Error: Corrupt pig file detected

I am having trouble getting STO to work on my brand new desktop.. Here is a link to a screenshot of the error that appear after a crash to desktop, I am encountering the error on both holodeck and tribble and it seems to always be texture related. I have tried a clean install as well as force verifying.

When the crash to desktop happens the cryptic error report window doesn't appear like it does for previous issues.

Oddly the game is working perfectly on my laptop.

The specs for my new PC are as follow:
Windows 7 64-bit
Core i7 CPU 980
Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Motherboard
24 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti (Driver 280.26 8.7.12.8026)

sounds like a corrupted textures.hogg files. . you will need to delete them from the /live/piggs folder

some antivirus programs like panda 2011 will corrupt the files on downloads
also besure the launcher.exe and gameclient.exe are set to run as admin

also on win7 and vista that the game is not installed in the programs file directory.
