I just bought Star Trek online, also subscribed. Downloaded via Downloader .At first i kept getting error report 36 , and would not patch up . I went to online support and did the casual search thing. I have , Forced verified , deleted the " live" file , tried out safemode , finally i got to make my character , i have not been in game as of yet.

So ..i am at toon screen with play button light up , clicked it , Loading ...welcome to star trek online , 4 hours later , i deleted the game and am redownloading it as i am typing this. Have gone through the forums and am going to check out more options that i have found there.

what is error 36....tickles

it looks to me like your antivirus is scanning the files as they come in and that this may be preventing the downloader from finalising the patchlib file.

Try disabling the AV while you do you force verify check.

Star Trek Online Minimum System Requirements
    -OS: Windows® XP SP2 / Windows Vista® / Windows® 7 (32 or 64 bit)
    -CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo 1.8 GHz, AMD Athlon™ X2 3800+
    -Memory: 1 GB Ram
-Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7950/ ATI Radeon X1800/ Intel HD Graphics
    -Sound: DirectX® 9.0c Compatible Soundcard
    -DirectX® 9.0c or Higher
-Hard Drive: 10 GB Free Disk Space
    -Disc Drive: 6X DVD-ROM
-Network: Broadband Internet Connection is Required

    you have Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz
Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
    Driver Date/Size: 3/28/2008 04:53:30, 2580480 bytes

an intel express is not going to work with the game beside the drivers are way out of date. even if you good get the game to run on that card on low graphic setting the frame rate will be very poor since your cpu will not be able to compensate.
This game uses the cpu heavily.

Those CRC errors are a worry, if you are installing the game to the program files folder, UAC might be causing problems, try installing the game to another folder away from the programs files folder (e.g: c:\games), also disable your antivirus to be on the safe side... if you do this and still no joy get your hard drive and memory checked out as if any of them are faulty that could be causing the CRC errors...

Also your computer will run STO (i can run it on a netbook LOL) but as pegasus said its not going to run good (i.e: lowest graphical settings and probably poor framerates)......
