Building an STO capable PC on a budget. I previously got input for graphics cards but this is now for the entire build I have collected since there was a hardware failure in my hard drive on September 2nd during the STOked live show that killed my PC while watching it.
I spent some time collecting hardware and this is what I have on the list so far. Items I have purchased will have an asterisk in front of them.
Hardware:
* Motherboard:

* Graphics:
http://www.visiontek.com/5000-series/hd-5450-1gb.html
* HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA (7200 RPM)
* Windows 7 Home premium (have an upgrade card for Professional)
AMD Phenom II X4 955 (or 975) Black Edition AM3 CPU w/6MB L2 cache
500 Watt PSU (its my old one. I want to get a newer one later. a 550W perhaps)
DVD/CDRW Optical Drive (recycled from my old computer)
2 90mm Case Fans (1 fore, 1 aft for one-way airflow. Might make it 3)
1680x1050 LCD monitor (forget its model, but its VGA and DVI compatible and recycled from my old computer)
2 desktop speakers (very old and recycled. uses an external power supply)
4GB RAM
So how would this rank up for quality in playing the game on a budget?

This is a cheap build i had the other stuff all ready but i spent about 500 or 600 on the whole build.I was straped for cash at the tie but i can fully up grade this computer.
I think the mob i am using has the same socket for your cpu The mob stays at a cool 100F pretty much the whole time.If you got plenty of fans
