can't connect .. .

Hi,

I'm trying to log in and I'm getting messages from the launcher saying that it is 'trying to update please be patient' and then I get a 'patch error' saying 'patch client got a message while it was in a state with no response funciton' - and it's not letting me log in.

I tried to log in via the gameclient directly and got to the login screen and then timeout - not able to access account server..

Never come across this before - does anyone have any ideas what I can do to try and trouble shoot?

    check your firewall that it has not blocked STO.

    try changing proxy server (launcher settings).

    try a force verify (again launcher settings.

    if all that fails leave it for a bit and try later, if still no id log a ticket.

    Thanks - I can't do force verify or proxy as I don't even ge to that screen.

    I don't seem to be able to copy my nettext but all results seem very low on all ports - about 15 - 30kb.... my tracert is as follows:

    You should really post this in the Support part of the forums, as you are likely to get more help there. Just a little helpfull FYI for the next time time you have tech problems :)
