The shield balance icon for my Tac Escort Retrofit is showing up as a generic cruiser icon... It's been this way for quite some time now and have submitted multiple bug reports on the matter. Should note that my other ship(s) do have the correct shield balance icon.
Any thoughts and/or suggestions as what could be causing this? I've tried swapping ships in and out, with no such luck! Thanks...

Hmm. I remember this sometimes happens when they create new ships and haven't the UI icon in place yet. But unless I am mistaken, at least my Defiant Retrofit already has an appropriate Defiant icon now.

Does that mean you dismissed the ship and then re-acquired it, or did you just switch between different ships you already own?
If you acquired it from the C-Store, maybe you cold try dismissing the ship and re-acquiring it. (If you got it for a refit token as Vice Admiral or for Emblems, don't do that! Your ship would be lost and you would have to grind the Emblems, or spend money!)

I acquired it by ship refit token. So yes, I wouldn't want to 'dismiss' the ship... Basically, I've switched between the retrofit tac escort and my advanced escort (which has the correct icon), with obviously no effect. LIke I stated above, I've reported this as a 'bug/glitch' several times.
Oh. I didn't even know they fixed the paperdoll for the refit. When did this happen? And why has this graphical change not been made retro-actively to the existing ships?
Did they fix other ships' paperdolls since then too?

Darkfader, I wouldn't even know how to do something like that. It's far beyond my knowledge...
And it seems to me that the 'paperdoll' fix has been retro-actively applied, because I don't see anyone else saying they have this issue. I could be wrong, ofcourse. But, if it were a wide spread issue, there would be more posts about this. Thoughts??
these not updated UI icons have been in the game FOREVER.
i had a whole laundry list posted some time ago...
Tier 5 Defiant Retrofit
Tier 5 Galaxy-X
Tier 5 Galaxy-Retrofit
all use the default cruiser icon
*note: the Tier 4 Galaxy Class and Defiant have the correct icons, that would be a 5 second copy & paste job to fix (one would think)
worse:
the enemy icon's when targeting at top of the screen always show a generic ship icon for that faction,
you can't even tell if its a SCI, Escor or Cruiser....

Agreed... It should be a simple fix. At least I'm not the only one with that issue.
I would like to add the Excelsior, both T3 and T5, to that list.
In other news, the new variant of the Akira, the Thunderchild, HAS a custom UI paperdoll. I do hope that the artists will eventually feel like it to "refit" these UI icons.

And here I was thinking it was just me
I'd love for a dev to chime in on this... Do they even know about the 'paperdoll' issues???
My Intrepid refit has had the generic cruiser for the shield-balance/hull condition icon ever since the thing came out. They only just recently tweaked the pylon animations (Discovery pylons) to match those of the T4 version. The refits seem to have all been overlooked for some of the cosmetics.

Interesting... Wonder why so many of these paper dolls are messed up.

Just admit you are using double shield hax.
Kthx.

Just tried it out now, both with and without changing ship configuration... No dice

D-7 / K'Tinga use Raptor icon (IIRC)
