We will be bringing down Star Trek Online on 9.15.2011 from 7:00AM to 9:00AM PDT (1400 to 1600 UTC) in order to perform maintenance and apply a new patch. We will provide an update once the maintenance has been completed.

Darn, with the blue beam changes I want to make a blue beam boat...but I have too many ships already! I need more Vice Admirals. Can we have an instant max level device on the C-Store please? ;)

I'd actually like clarification on this point, too.

It seems very odd that the notes would mention a change to a console that does not yet exist on holodeck (the Antimatter Spread) yet there is not a word of the patch including either the Venture class itself or the Klingon Vor'cha variant.

    Care to clarify, Cryptic?

They didn't mention the RI being released to the C-Store, either. ;p

Any word on the weapon arc issues? Ever since the Torpedo Spread change hit Holodeck it's been a pain trying to fire aft torpedoes. :(

They seldom mention the C-store additions.

I am also curious as to whether or not the Venture and Kor'Vaht Classes will be releasing tomorrow. As much as I loathe the C-Store, I must admit, I love the skins, and will be purchasing them for my VA & LG characters.

Also, the console which will bring my Exploration Cruiser retrofit in line with canon abilities. :D

You do not need to pay to win anything in this game. All monetary purchases are entirely optional to be effective.

Its because they just did a copy and paste from the tribble notes rather than tak ethe effort to modify the notes for whats actually going into Holo.---(LAZY)

This is true for PvE. But not for PvP. Skill doesn't matter, but money does.

They usually don't mention what's going in the c-store in the patch notes

Methinks it'll be in the c-store today

They should be released today after the patch or whenever after the patch the C-Store folks slap the sticker price on those shiney new windshields.

When can we expect the rework of the space skill point system? Is that still in the works?

Do people actually read the Ask Crpytics? http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2609
Q: N.Bridger: Could you give us more information about the skilltree revamp?

A: In order to make space skills more applicable to all builds, we will be removing skills that currently apply only to a specific ship class or energy type and replacing them with more accessible skills such as +Dam or +Turn Rate, etc. This will address the issue where some skill paths only apply to very specific builds or ship classes. Now all space skills will offer some benefit to every player who chooses them. We will be testing this on our F2P Test Server in the upcoming months where players will be able to see the changes first hand. Players who have points in the removed skills will receive a free respec.

LOL, are you kidding ??? Skill and team work is what PVP is about, without skill you will get murderd.

Skill does not matter in PVP either after you play it for awhile.

It all comes down to you see class A in ship B and you know he will usually open with certain skills and you will counter with others.

Nothing more than that.Only thing in PVP that matters is teamwork.

Pretty much the same with all PVP in MMO's.

Chess and checkers take more skill than any damn MMO PVP side game.

Has anyone been having problems with their BOs Following the player's character from room to room?

There are a few missions where the pathing is just screwed up. A BOff will tend to run-off on its own as if it knows a shortcut to where the enemies are, or they will get hung-up in a door. File bug reports in each mission you have that happen. They are slowly correcting them - it is a lot better now then it was right after S4 released.

It actually seems to be getting worse and not better. It is now happening in missions it never used to happen in, such as 'What lies beneath' and 'Second star to the right'. Right now in some case you have to offer your BoFFs cookies to get them through a doorway or jump down from the rafters (ie set a waypoint).

Correct me if I am wrong... but isn't the whole "heal on B'Rel" a PvP issue?

Why did Cryptic change the maintenance times? I like to get up early and play a little before work and now they have the server down during that time. I'm Pacific time, but Central and Eastern would have this right in the middle of the day.

What was wrong with the wee hours of the morning for these updates? Seems like it changed the Perfect World took over. What time is this in China? Is that what's governing it?

    Change it back!
