I paid the account two days ago.
When I start the client and try to log into the game it tells me that ther is an account error and I have to click on a link to see what exactly is wrong.
It says that my account is not active!
I already send in a ticket to the so called support 2 days ago.
You know the one of Atari where they say that they usually answer the tickets within 24hours. Well no answer yet.
After 18 months I wanted to give this another try but I guess this was a big mistake when you even can not start the account.
I am curious if my old character still exist or not.
If you were using pay Pal, there have been many posts recently that they have a problem re-activating with Pay Pal.
In my Signature is a Link to GM-Support-Ticket. Click that, and Log In on that site. Check the Links there for Account Support. They sometimes have Live Chat, or used to anyway, if you get lucky timing, they may be able to help you get re-connected.
I used a credit card payment and as far as I can see the "timer" in the account menu say that the account is running:
Abonnements
Recurring 1-Month CANCELLED
Subscribed For: 40.84 days <- this counts the time. So the account is active now for two days but it don't let me login.
btw. The account payment page is not really well made.
A Option where you can see the status of your last payment (if they failed are pending whatever) is missing.
Oh and the ticket was already submitted 2 days before:

I used the Category: Account & Billing Services (I guess this should have a high priority right?)

It is dificult to get Account Specific help on the forums at best. Account Support is the best route as you have already started.

I have seen posted a couple of times by Moderators that Tickets which are Idle for a period of time get Auto-Closed for Inactivity. I do not know if that policy continues, but I would suggest Refreshing the ticket every two days until it is resolved.
same thing happened to me reactivated on the 7th try and get on today it says my accounts inactive cause it's the weekend i don't have my hopes built up for a respones but i sure would like to know whats going on if they try and rip me off i wont be returning to this game
