Is it possible to take a screen shot without any UI? Including no ship shield status, etc? I want just the game.

BTW, I know about PrintScrn. :)

Thanks,

type /screenshot or /screenshot_jpg into the console and it will capture an image without the UI. You can remove shield bars from the ingame options menu.

When you say shield bars, you're referring to the four quadrant bars? That's what I would like removed from the screen shots. If so, I'll give it a shot tonight. Thanks,

I don't see the option to turn the 4 quadrents off around my ship. What am I missing?

You need to disable it in the menu:

Esc-key -> Options -> Basic -> Disable: "Enable directional shield FX".

After that, PrtScr will work nicely. But sadly all "effects" and affects will still be displayed no matter what.

Clicking the "PrtScr" key will make a free of UI screenshot. You can then find it in ur cryptic/Star trek online/live/screenshots folder.
It will however record the shield facings unless u deactivate them as described in a previous post.

I thought Print screen made screenshots with the UI, that's why I always type the command. then again, I don't take too many screenies
