There's a posting floating around in one of these types of threads where the Klingons are getting some new ships next - small 1-hangar carriers at T3 I think it was. It should be a wonderful addition to the game for Klingons to use and enhance their game experience. :)

I like the sound of that, I enjoy the idea of carriers. Is it too much to hope it's balanced with its T3 peers? And at this point nearly anything would be welcome for Klingons, undernourished as they are.

I'm a engineer in a escort, and I will buy the ship if cryptic will ever make a engineer/escort ship.
a Lt science, LC & C TAC, ENG. AND LT Engineer with a special power minimal.
I spend real and a lot of money on the galaxy x, and only used it 20 minutes, so I know I will pay real money for the ship I want !!
And yes, pay to win is bad (if they ask like $100, its bad, but $10/15).
And yes, im a lifer so I spent money in the c-store to help cryptic out, and have a steady job.

    (I got 7 va1's and 2 lg1's)

I found it in the Carrier R&D Thread on the Klingon Shipyard forum.

In my opinion any ship given by a company for pay is a pay to win aspect. If a player uses their brain to create a ship with many aspects is considered a good captain who can adapt to situations and is canon based.

The problem is not the ships but the fact that cryptic is making these ships which have applications of giving more bang for the buck yet at the same time neglecting the ships original application.

If we are captains shouldnt w bee able to tweak our ships from the construction yards or in the feild. with this new doff system i hope it will not just be an auto boost and gimmick. where is the science from star trek dan where is the research and application process in this game. star trek ships should be built to regulation specs and captains can then pick and choose what they can use on their ship. The penalty or restriction marker is the power capacity your ship holds as well as its personnel restrictions.

And to me, all of that is secondary to the dishonesty, both in the presentation of this particular ship and regarding the cancerous expansion of the C-store in general.
Sorry, you see the C-Store as cancerous and I don't, therefore I guess we can only agree to disagree and it truly all boils down to that little fact.

I also have no problems with reward-fueled players who want a temporary competitive edge getting it either by grinding for more powerful ships — something dStahl continues to promise — or paying for temporary power boosts.

By the way, none of this means I'd buy the Rhode Island and/or other ships. I reserve the right to make an adult decision regarding each ship as it launches. I promise you though that if I'd ever buy a ship from the C-Store, it'll never be because it gives me a competitive edge in either PvP or PvE.

And that's what makes you better than others in the end.

I like the idea of having more ships but I would rather they focus their efforts on fixing the bugs and putting in more missions and Klingon Exclusive PvE. But that isn't going to happen EVER.

I don't even know that. I suspect that many people still bough the Rode Island for one reason only - they like the ship's look.

It will change if there is a systematic approach to it, and you realize every tier has "better" ships on the C-Store. Than some people will feel the need to upgrade to keep an edge (or at least not lose one.)

More ships would be nice. More ships at every tier would be nice. Ships for longer than a single tier would be nice.

But those aren't P2W ships, which is what the OP is asking.

Let's go ahead and close this one down guys. There's plenty of other threads to discuss this in.

    Thanks,
