constant dc after 20seconds with new patch

I just patched up the game 10 mins ago and started up the game, I went from starfleet academy to sector space only to disconnect 4 times on the way to beta ursae sector block. I can't play this game disconnecting every 20 seconds.

I have tried it with US proxy enabled and the same problem is happening
I have never come across this problem before but I have changed my ISP

    Same here, constantly getting disconnected from server every 2 mins. Cannot play, please help.

    seriously,remove tribble and just test everything on the holodeck,thats what it feels like lately.
    disconnected from Dse twice now.

    A fleet mate of mine had a similar issue. We solved it by killing BOTH XFire and Steam... might worth trying.

    I also was victim of multiple disconnects.

    But not as often as described above. It was more like once every 20 minutes.

    And i don't have any programs rnning in background, except the usual Windows routines. (my be a mistake). But no chat tools, steam or anything like that. Still got disconnected quiete often.

    I had a few DCs myself, which is the case with pretty much every new patch. They really need to get this sort of thing figured out and eliminated.

    I've been dealing with this since the realse of Seaon 4; welcome to the club. I'm more than angry that this recent patch didn't address any stability issues...I submitted dxdiag, nettest, and tracert already. This blows chunks

    I start playing the Starbase 24 mission and anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes in I get disconnected from server for no reason.

    I'm a lifetime Sub; I know the outcome of this game's future...only the lifetime people will be left when Cryptic is forced to pull the plug. I'll never buy a Cryptic game again...hated City of Heros and even though I love the STO concept, these issues are making me wish I never gave them my money.

    There is an incompatibility of Xfire + STO + Win 7. My two friends crash like 10 seconds into the game, but I'm on XP and have no trouble. Been hoping the Devs can fix this. Xfire has not changed in months, but STO has, so it's definitely something in STO because they used to be compatible.

    Please fix this Devs? I will be getting a new computer soon with Win 7 and will also be affected.

    The devs most likely work on systems that are as close as vanilla Win systems as possible to make sure that theres a ultimate baseline. Doing this ensures that most possible people can play the game, but dosn't take other systems such as XFire into account.

    XFire is probably not the only program interfering with STO, it just happens to be somthing that more players tend to use.

    Sadly they can not take every user and random programs into account, cause if they were, they would never be done pushing anything out.

    huh... i played the game for several hours earlier today, the latest patch patched (before the maintenence that's happening right now), and i never experienced one disconnect...

    Cant get more vanilla than Windoze 7 Home Premium. Also if your running this game on bare bones gear turn off active desktop. Gobbles memory

    It does in fact seem fairly random... some get DC's every 20 seconds, I had 4 only, and some never get hit.

    its to do with the diffrent proxy thats being used, not all players are on the same ones but large portions of us are.

    Yesterdays bug was an explosion of a proxy bug thats been going on for weeks now. Which still isnt fixed, but they did reduce what was happening yesterday. If i wasnt a lifetime member already id have cancled till they got it fixed, cause why pay if you cant play right.

    Well, I played for a few hours post emergency patch last night. I have to say, things are better; but I still had a couple of disconnects.

    Techies...please keep at this until it is as near perfect as humanly possible.

    Ok, playing since 8 PM EDT...disconnected at least 3 times...I'd say they still have work to do. It won't be long before The Old Republic is released. I am willing to bet they won't have any such issues a over year after release...you got my money Cryptic, but I don't have to play your game, even if I could ;p
