Cryptic Autolauncher Update

I have St:Online installed on my desktop pc and it runs just fine. I play it almost everyday. I recently bough a higher end laptop, and I've installed St: online on it as well. On the laptop, the game is stuck at the Cryptic Autolauncher update window. It says it's trying to update, and to please be patient. I left the laptop on overnight a few times, and it's gone up to as many any Tried to connect 113 times, and still hasn't made any progress. I never had these problems with I installed it on my desktop pc.

I tried shutting off Zonealarm and windows firewalls, I tried using a wired internet connection, I tried running the game as an admin, and I tried a complete re-install as well as re-downloading the entire game and reinstalling with that.

None of the above worked.

I also noticed that while the thing is telling me to be patient, no bytes are moving across my network according to my wireless network connection status window.

I have an Asus G71GX-RX05 running Windows 7 Home Premium through a Linkys router.

I don't know what's wrong here.

Do you have port forwarding set up on your router for your desktop? If so, you may need to configure it for your laptop, as well.
