I kept getting "Server not responding" errors, sometimes the chat channels wont switch, people are lagging all over the place, got DCed, and when i load in a new area, strange things happen, like the ship's turn rate is really high.
I checked my internet, and all is normal. So its definitely not on my side. I've hearing other people are having the same problems.

It might be a silly suggestion but i do a weekly Defrag on my computer, it helps alot with lag on STF's and its stops the lag being unbearable and more like a little slowdown. Just a thought.
Wishy has responded with advice to some in the lag thread thats in the PC & Technical help section of the forum.
Though its just how to do tracert and nettest.
The UI takes longer and longer to appear after a map transition. Also most of the times I see the map and parts of the UI before the warp-in sequence. I don´t know if this is related to the OPs problem, but maybe it is.
The slowly materializing UI was barely noticeable a few wekks before S4 came, now it´s really obvious and it´s worse during prime time, which makes me think it has something to do with the server and not me.

This is happening to me as well, and rubber banding while you are in the middle of a mission. But for me the UI thing only started happening yesterday evening about this time.
Often "I checked my internet" is sadly not enough for us to actually trace what the issue may be.
Without detailed information we cannot ever assist you. Please, if you are experiencing lag issues and similar, please always provide detailed information:
*Always* run a tracert. Find out which hops you are taking and where the lag starts.
*Always* use the nettest tool to check if you are able to connect properly.
*Always* add from where you are playing (I don't need your address, but we do need to know where in the world you are and what your internet service provider is)
Tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com to check your routing.
You can run tracerts from a windows prompt or through online tools; select that which works best for you.
Nettest:
Go to files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically
Do alt prtscn(be sure the nettest is the active window) to Copy and paste the results in paint and save as jpeg and attach it in a post in this forum else
write down the columns
Good results have column 1 and 3 with values around 300- 500kb/sec, column 2 with 20kb/sec
...and, yes, this is a message I copy and paste a lot. It mainly is because this is often the crucial information that is not provided and that I need to deliver before I can talk to anyone about these issues.

I am having the many problem even on Qo'nos. I did a tracert with only 11 hops, all < 30ms. I live near DC. Game has not been this bad since early launch.
I did a ping test and I was consistently getting a ping of 300ms but considering I'm in Australia that's not too bad.
The problem wasn't the latency. My packets were getting dropped 7 out of 100 of size 1024 were dropped. Unfortunately I can't tell exactly where because tracert didn't seem to drop anything.
EDIT: Last 6 hops in the tracert

After you run Tracert and the last number is below 100ms, you need to run the nettest.
Here is how a Tracert works:
You live at point A.
Cryptic is at Point E.
So your signal has to go from A to B to C to D to E in order to reach Cryptic.
A Ping test tests the time it takes a signal to make it from Point A to point E and back.
A Tracert is basically a Ping test but done this way:
A to B
A to C
A to D
A to E
So the last test on your tracert should almost equal the Ping test.
The nettest is a data transfer test. This is where the server ports are being tested. Whatever the results, mltiply by 8 in order to get your true connection speed. For example, my fasted was 830KB/s. That equates to 6.6Mbps. Since I have a 10Mbps connection, I consider that to be a successful test since Cryptic is able to use over half of my total pipe.
Tracert looks for any connection breaks. Lag will only be found by doing the nettest.
I'm running FIOS out here in SoCal and it looks like the backbone for the area is Alter.net. I'd post my nettest details, but it's been going on for a half hour now with numbers being as follows in columns:
1-6 1-4 25-46 500
It says my .jepgs are invalid, I'm guessing due to size, so I cannot post them.
However, my ping was 120.0 msec and the second line says
Port: 80:
Then nothing. It's been about six minutes, I know it's suppose to show more.
My Trace had <1 ms on the first but "request timed out" on the second.
The last three numbers are 151 ms, 119 ms, and 119 ms.
Sprintlink.net is in a lot of the list.
I'm in east Idaho, cable connection, (Cable One) and I have been experiencing bad lag since last night, before the patch.
I also noticed in the top left of my screen I would get things like "patching 7 files" and the speed. This was when I'd change bridges and load them to see how I liked them; so I'm assuming it's related to that.
Hope some of that helps. :-)
Edit: Nettest just added this " 3 KB/sec 65KM/sec 5 KB/sec 500"
Then "Port: 80: 5 KB/sec 66KB/sec 8KB/sec 500"
And now it's sitting with "Port: 443:"
Edit: in case it helps I ran speedtest: Png 83ms, Download 5.44mbps, Upload 0.48mbps

many people in chat say the same...
today
STO = unplayable
With me it started last night. Bad rubber-banding, freezing, suddenly running at light-speed into a wall, etc.

You can never say its not my side, it must be cryptic! as theres so many isps inbetween which often dont like admitting they have a problem
