Since Holodeck came back after the patch, i cant stay logged in. Every 3 minuets i get disconnected? I asked people in the chat and the same is happening o them as well.
Folks (and I will really make this a copy-paste posting):
Without detailed information we cannot ever assist you. And detailed information is not "STO does not work but WoW works!". They are different server locations. You so not use the same pathways to get to server A that you use to get to server B.
*Always* run a tracert. Find out which hops you are taking and where the lag starts.
*Always* use the nettest tool to check if you are able to connect properly.
*Always* add from where you are playing (I don't need your address, but we do need to know where in the world you are and what your internet service provider is)
These three are the minimum we need to even be able to guess where the problem could be.
Having the Problem Myself, Trying to do the Explores VA in B'tran DC'd 4 times in less than 5 minutes, Also DCing every few meters i move in Gamma Oronis.
I know it's not my internet thats at fault as i can log straight back in and nothing else disconnects.
After the Emergency patch i still get kicked after 3 to 5 min, whats is going on? I live in the netherlands, have the best internet package and i never had this problem till todays patch. Can you help, i got a show to do Sunday.
I'll get a Disconnect from Server before the game even loads on one of my alts.
If it does manage to log in, buttons are missing and am unable to do anything except
watch the world go by so to speak.
I've tried disabling vivox, patch on demand, force verify, deleting hogg files,
and even went so far as to re-install the game, even turned off firewall.
Nothing so far has yet to work. Not even getting reset from gm help stuck option.
I've also verified router and pings, traceroutes, etc... no problems there.
I've also checked my cpu/gpu and system resources.
When I do try to log in, it will lag out the other computer on the network as well.
This mainly happens on one toon, intermittent on another toon,
and no problems at all on 2 other toons.
I am having this problem as well. Every couple of seconds into gameplay I get disconnected and it is having a hard time logging into the server. I generally have had little trouble with this in the past.
I am in Michigan in the USA and I can connect to everything else just fine with no bugs or issues.
As for these: "*Always* run a tracert. Find out which hops you are taking and where the lag starts.
*Always* use the nettest tool to check if you are able to connect properly." I am not sure what either tracert or nettest are. I do not have them to my knowledge and cannot use them.
However, speedtest definitely says I am speeding right along on the net.

Here are tracert and nettest. Instructions are given at the respective websites.
numbers are a little low on the nettest. anytime you have vaules below 250 in columns 1 and 3 and less than 14 in 2 you will likely have lag and disconect problems.

Just as an FYI: I received an email-announcement from Comcast on Thursday saying that they had increased their internet spped by about 25%. However, they also stated that we would need to power-down and disconnect the modem properly and then do an appropriate re-connect/power-up to ensure connectivity.
I did not re-set my modem and started noticing connectivity/signal issues yesterday, 7/15, while in-game. I thought it was the server but then remembered the Comcast email. I reset my modem and everything is OK now.
Not sure if this applies outside of Northern California or not but thought I would post this.
I traced the server it took 14 hops and I did not lose packets.
The numbers for the connectivity are up now as well.
Lastly but not leastly: It seems to me that the problem has been resolved and things are back to normal. I am no longer having the crashes or any real connectivity issues as far as I can determine. So whatever you did Devs/Server Techs it seems it worked. Thank you!

Where are you in the world? Cause I have no issues.
Looking for a post wishy made recently..
Edit: Found it...

Thanks for the links. I did the Nettest thing and this is what I got if it helps the Devs any:
Numbers
As for Tracert I could use it but I have no idea what the address I am trying to trace to is. I do not see it listed anywhere on the STO forums.
