Live / Test Server Buttons Missing on Launcher

Check out this image

I highlighted where the Live Server and Test Server buttons normally are with a red circle. The "buttons" still work but don't show any text for me.

That said - I use FireFox, hate Internet Exploder and I've successfully avoided upgrading IE 6 for many years. LOL :p Yes, I know that's probably the problem but STO's launcher has been bug free for me since closed beta.

I'm probably going to be forced into upgrading IE so what's the minimum requirement for the launcher?

EDIT: If I turn on "Show All Games" in options I get a drop down box of Live Server, Test Server, and Champions that shows up properly.

technically the launcher does not really use IE browser. What it uses is MSHTML which IE also uses. But if there is something wrong in the MSHTML the only way a user might adjust it is through IE (without reinstalling the entire OS) I have used the game launcher with ie 6-9 .

Just certian setting is IE can affect how the launcher looks and behave.
like if IE is set to work off line the launcher may have problems connecting.
if display images is turn off some of the panels may not show
if autocomplete (auto fill form) is on you may have problems entering your username and password etc etc

Hmm not sure what the problem is then. Don't have images off or autocomplete on etc.

Privacy is set to Medium. I cleared the cache, cookies, history, etc - all to no effect.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I had no problems with the launcher until the recent fix for "Login Input Boxes disappear behind Image" on July 13th.

it could be something is broke in the MSHTML and It might be fixed by upgrading the IE to version 7 which will adjust a new MSHTML in the upgrade.
no need to upgrade higher than that if you don't want to.

Thanks. I'll try that as a last resort.

Do you think re-registering Mshtml.Dll might work?
