New Star Trek Game?

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Must I wait for the new Star Trek game to come out next year to play Star Trek?

I am not a forum user, but I am a consumer.

Star Wars.....not my cup of tea,.... but our fleet(s) (400+) are considering going together as a unit and try it out, waiting to see if STO becomes playable.

By the way,....I keep geting booted, loader just sits there in patch mode doing nothing, and unless I reboot, I can not get back on.
Oh, by the way, I have 3 lifetime accounts (my son, daughter and myself)
Oh, by the way we all use the same modem.
Oh, by the way, they play away while I try to get back on.
I've tried the disabe voice chat, pacth on demand ect..........

I can not use what I have paid for.

Souuld I ground my son or daughter and use their account?

Are you there Dan?

You have my info from my account and I authorize you to contact me directly.

so let me get this straight because this is not very clear. there are 3 people in your house using sto at the same time? on 3 different computers? or just 2 computers? or is there one computer that you all share and only your account gets booted?

Yep, 3 people in same house each with their own lifetime account

We have four different computers that we use/share

well it sounds like if the others are having no trouble, then its because there is not enough bandwith on your internet to run them all at the same time.

if your running them at the same time, then one of you will probably suffer. if you are experiencing no trouble when its just you playing on your own then that would suggest its the problem.

if you still experience trouble when only you play then it could be something on your machine. perhaps a dodgy cable, a firewall. perhaps you need to change the proxy on the launcher, or disable on demand patching again via the launcher. also try running a force verify again via the launcher.

if the others are having no trouble then its almost certainly nothing at cryptic's end or all 3 of you would have issues.

you could always switch computers. log in at one of the kids computers, have one of them log in to yours and see what happens. if they get booted out then its an issue with your computer or the bandwith (for some reason yours is the one dropping out first as their computers are getting the priority.)

but if you still get booted out even playing on another computer then it sounds like a problem with your actual account itself, like its been corrupted to something. that might require a help ticket.

its hard to tell but see if you can narrow down what the cause may be, because its odd that other people in the same house are not affected.

I have no idea what is going on.
    This started post season 4.....
We have no internet change, same speed test results from various sites.
less bandwidth usage from a month ago because we are not activly streaming HD via our server, (summertime and nothing to watch) no change there.

This forum is about Star Trek Online. If you wish to discuss other games, this forum isn't what you are looking for. Under that light, this thread should be closed.

This thread also looks like massive account sharing is happening. Which, even within the same family, is not okay. Accounts may not be shared and each user needs to control their own account.

Finally: I am still not sure I understand fully, but you sound like you need to contact Tech support for your issue. Without more information on your problem there will not be much we can do to assist. :(
To contact the technical support, please follow the link to the support pages in my signature. You log in on the Atari pages just as you would log in on the forums.

    Thank you.
