Dear Cryptic/Dan Stahl and our UI dev team, as well as to my fellow STO fans,

Since STO first launched last year, I found the MINI-MAP( shown on upper right corner of your in-game screen ) to be too small to be helpful or useful since I can't see enough details 'readily' without hitting the '-' & '+' to zoom out or in. And even then, when u zoom in/out it's not enough as well as cumbersome since I can't see much in it's overall small size. It looks more game cosmetic to be 'there' and available, but not really meant to be truly useful in combats.

I had until season 4 release on Live Holodeck a way around this, though; which was my hitting the 'm' key and resize it to a 2 to 3inch by 2 to 3inch or 2-3" x 2-3" map size and place it on the upper left corner of the screen - next to the team/away team's characters listing. It's been very helpful in-game TOOL for me in battles( space & ground! ). Knowing where your teammates/alies and enemy contacts( Players/NPC's ) are at readily( and easily )at ALL time without fuss is one of the few main keys to survival and victories for me in battles!

But now since the release of season-4 on Live, having the 'map' up by 'm' prevents the SHOOTER mode to be implemented. SHOOTER mode to RPG mode( and vice-versa ) switching does not work if you have your 'm' Map function up.

>> Am asking if either you could please make it so that the M key be functional for both RPG and Shooter mode, so I can keep my way around the handicaps of the mini-map; or better yet, can you please make the Mini-Map to be 4 time its current tiny size now?

Perhaps some players are fine with it's current small size and don't rely on its use even for reason I mentioned, so can you implement some function option features so we'd have an option of choosing between sizes -- even at least just 2( small current mini - and x4 larger ). <<

Max-Map size should be at lease 4times the current Mini-Map size we have now shown on upper right corner of ingame-screen to be truly useful/helpful, at least for me.

Thanks for any serious helpful replies/imputs anyone may have on this. And I hope this issue will be remedied soon.

    I'd love to at least be able to resize it, like is allowed in Champions Online. For me, at my monitor's best resolution, the minimap is so very tiny. I rarely even use it and often find myself in binds because of that.

    It is already movable to wherever you want. We should also be able to stretch (or shrink if you eagle-eyed whipper snappers want) it to a scale to fit our needs. Again, like what is allowed in Champions Online.

    The lack of individual scaling of the UI has always been a gripe of mine. I hope they allow us to scale every window to what we prefer.

    I'd really just like the boxes in the rearrange UI screen to be the same size as the items being moved. :(

    Or be the item being moved around in the first place.

    I remember there is some hidden Chat command that allows you to rescale some windows. (I think the map can't be scaled that way either, though).
