I have tried around ten times deleting installs and am unable to complete decompression of all the files. Forcing Verify does not seem to have any affect.

certain antivirus programs will corrupt the hogg files on downloads. such as panda 2011. I also seen reports that microsoft security essentials can cause some problems.

Thanks for the suggestion, turned off my anti-viris etc. and it still failed.

Fatal Error: Error decompressing data. Verifying Files in the launcher may fix the issue:

    Techinical Details:
    Animation_Library/Skeletons/Fem/Skel_Fem.Skel:

Fails at this same spot every time.

I am getting the same problem with a texture over near Starbase 39. Now I have two characters stuck there. I can play fine on my main as long as it does not try to load the texture that is corrupt. Deleted the hogg files that I thought might be the problem and turned of my antii-virus while I downloaded - still no fix.

Yes, I tried again deleting all the files and disabling my anti virus and firewall.

if hoggs files keep getting corrupted then will need to isolate the cause
some thing that will corrupt the files

    1. weak or failing wireless connection
    2. weak or failing/bad memory
    3. weak or failing cpu
    4. failing or bad hard drive
    5. weak or failing power supply
    6. as stated before some antivirus programs like panda and heard microsoft security essentials
    7. if using win7 or vista having the game installed in the program files folder will cause problems because of windows new security feature for files in that folder

also programs like teamviewer and xfire will cause game crashes.

Appreciate your responses. I will delete everything one more time using Revo uninstaller and let the Star Trek program choose its own defaults. If that does not do it the other options are HIGHLY unlikely and since my system is stable I will just move on.

    Enjoy,
