Logitech G510 G-Key Problem

Okay, so I just got a Logitech G510 and was wanting to do some very simple mapping of the G-Keys. For example, instead of having to hold down control and hit 1 (or 2, etc.), I wanted to map G1 to Ctrl+1. Anytime I try something like this the result in STO is, Ctrl+1 AND 1. The power in C1 fires at the same time as the power slot 1. This is not my intention, it's a neat trick, but not functioning as desired. It's getting too fancy, I just want to map a multi-key stroke, not fire off some crazy macro.

STO Lords, what am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

I also have a G510 Keyboard. I have not had much luck using it at all. it seems to just make the game more difficult.

Recently i have also noticed that after i die in spcae pvp and respawn i can no longer fire torpedos. when i hit my ctrl+spcae one of my bo powers will fire off instead. I have to log out and log back in to reset it.

on the ground i use the number keys to activate abilities but when i hit "1" instead of just activating my skill assigned to number one it will cycle through the entire ability tray starting at 1 then 2 then 3 and so on. just me from me hitting the 1 key multiple times.... ground is completely unplayable for me at this point. one should only activate 1 and then not move on to two. wtf.

I suspect it has been my keyboard but i have deleted alll my profiles and disabled all the g-keys making it essentially a regular keyboard and I am still having all these problems. its only been recently that these issues have come up, everything use to be fine. so i dont think its the keyboard anymore.

Well you reivied a zombie thread... thats not nice... But I might as well answer.

I had the same problem originally with my G11... Solution was quite simple: Updated the software to the newest version. (not just drivers... the entire package)

that and ad a shot delay between the maco presses say .25 since there is a delay in ui responce usually so that compensates for it.

I agree with the previous comments. You need the latest software, and add a character delay of 10-25 ms.

I find that the G-keys work better when combined with keybinds. For example, I have one G-key programmed to format the game for my dual monitor system. I first tried a text block with /screen_pos_size 490 0 3330 1030. It worked most of the time, but sometimes a character got dropped and the system did not understand the command.

    Now if I /bind ctrl+S "/screen_pos_size 490 0 3330 1030" then I can program the G-key to ctrl-S. Works every time now. :)
