After the patch, when I click on engage I get the following error message: Fatal Error: Failed to load D3DX9_42.dll. Verifying files in the launcher or reinstalling may fix this issues.
So far, verifying just produces the same results.
Ok,l tried uploading a screenie but it isn't letting me.... I've got windows7 with dx11. I'm providing a dxdiag file.
Please I could use some help, haven't been able to go past the "engage" screen so far with this game.
You know, the problem is this: before the patch the launcher crashed into nothingness and I couldn't load the game at all. After the patch, the launcher crashes to an error, and I can't play at all. So, what gives, you don't give a rats about a new gamer, potential customer but you hypocritically send out free trials and bull? What free trial, my 7 days are gonna end way before this gets resolved... I've opened a damn ticket for days now, and not only I haven't gotten an answer, but I actually had to update it with the S4 new crash. Pathetic.
Also, don't tell me there's something wrong with my rig, please, cause I can play champions fine, thanks, and they use the same launcher type.
Furthermore, before someone tells me to download and install or manually install the file, my system already HAS the D3DX9_42.DLL file, I just checked, even the version that Microsoft gives. So, I have the dll, and it won't load it, because ..... ???
Same thing happened to me. On my brand spanking new computer it comes up with the same error! I think it might be something wrong with the latest patch. They better fix it or they'll lose a customer!
The file's already in there, but it says it failed to load it. I submitted a ticket, and they said to update my drivers. But as I said before, it is a brand new computer and I don't think it needs to be updated. What else can I do?
