The Season Four spirit of renovation has come to the C-Store! You can now make C-Store purchases directly through the STO website, and new category tabs and filters make browsing even easier. Visit the C-Store and while you're there, why not pick up some newly released Inventory or Bank Slots?

I won't be getting them because they are per character and not per account. If I delete my character there is no way to recover those points or slots, so, no thanks. I will pass yet again. I do like the new look of the c-store on the website though, lookin' good.

I don't mind the "per character" limitation of some purchases. It's harder for Cryptic to make reoccurring revenue for account-wide sales.

That being said, Cryptic folks, please make a note of some of the bugs that are being noted in the new layout in regards to missing items, or items invisible to certain accounts.

    ... Yet.

That being said, if you feel it's an outrage, like I said in another thread, vote with your money. It will do all the talking for you ;) If nobody's being it, then "nobody's buying it".

You also won't have to use as many annoying exclamation points

No reason why people can't put their distaste for C-Store options down on forums as well as not buying it.

The two are not mutually exclusive and as far as I'm concerned, the more noise made in the most different ways is fine. It's what I do after all.

That's not a bad idea, might encourage the in-game economy a bit.

dstahl did mention a possibility of converting ECs to C-Points, that would also be a good alternative.

It's an Idea but you do realise that with things as they are going now you'll get one point for every million EC.

Just a guess of course but I'd wager it won't be far from the truth.

With this amount of C-Store items in a P2P game how about they give us x amount of Store credit each month.
My whole fleet is anoyed with this game at the moment , now S4 has added numerous more bugs and no content, yet they made a new store and more store items and when we saw the new slots are per character well i think most of us logged out anoyed.
The game looks sweet i just wished they gave a little care for the paying customer but thats obviously never gonna happen now.

First I commend you for the new design of the C-Store. As a former C-Store customer, who bought dozens and dozens of items before, I'm not going to support it any more. I feel I don't get what I deserve for the money that I pay and have paid. Making more and more items character only makes my blood boil. Nope, no more items for me until they change this policy.

And I can't forget to mention the whole Caitian BOff idiocy. The only of the old species that has been in the game for a long time that didn't get BOffs when we bought the playable species. Now they expect us to buy them one at a time for real life cash? Nope. Not me. If it had been a new species like the Aenar fine, I could have accepted that they changed their way of offering BOffs but an all ready in game species. BIG fail.

As long as it's constructive noise, you have a fair point. Rants and the like, OTOH, don't belong on the forums.

For example, not liking something because one simply doesn't like it is non-constructive.

Not liking X because of Y is better.

Not liking X because of Y, and then suggesting Z, is the best response.

When it comes to a lot of C-Store posts, sadly, I see a lot more of first example as opposed to the second or third.

Personally, I'm not adverse to per-character purchases for incidental items, but I also like the idea of being able to convert ECs into C-Points (would require less in-game rigging overall), or alternate ways of purchasing things through on-line actions, especially for incidental items purchased per-character.

I rarely reply on these forums yet I do agree with the others posters here. Purchasing account wide increases in inventory and bank storage would of been a better route. STO currently isnt FTP yet and it would be far better to adress the many bugs and problems that season four has brought with it than to pass off another poorly executed sale that isn't warmly welcomed by the paying player base.

I can't stand per-character cash items, but I'm really only annoyed this time because I never hear the reasoning behind it.
The costume slots started out per character but went account wide - I really appreciate that but I still wonder what was different about that case.

Honestly don't think it makes that much of a difference for the bank slots at least since you can mail items that aren't bound to your other characters.

Yah it's unfortunate that it's not account wide, but personally I only need more slots on one character at the moment. But as other's said, can never ever delete that character. I still got it though because I really needed it if I wanted to have room for crafting, and well even considering that it's per character the price is pretty low. Not like it was 400 points for each (Talking about bank not inventory). I would be willing to pay more if it had been account wide though.

And no that does not mean buying it again on other accounts, I'll make an exception and buy a per character upgrade this time, but only for one character and not for any of the alts (My primary and oldest character). I've been refusing to buy the other per-character only content.

The new look of the store is gorgeous! Well done on the design, guys!

But, as with the rest of the commentators here, I'm a bit perplexed by your pricing models. You constantly tell us you're looking for ways to make the C-Store less irritating (rumors of credit swaps, planned in-game routes for purchases, etc), but when you roll out per-character purchases like these, you lose all credibility. Season 4 is admittedly content-lite, with a large swath of the updates taking place behind the curtain (which is totally fine), but to get a new C-Store and the first new items in it not account-wide is grating.

Cryptic, I'm dying to buy a lifetime subscription. I really am. I want to support your development of this game, but every time I get close to hitting the button, I see a new ER or Ask Cryptic, or a release comes along that convinces me to wait. The good news is, I'm saving the money anyway. The bad news is, I can spend it on something else.

Please rethink these kinds of pricing policies and remember that you aren't running a F2P game here. This kind of nickle-and-diming has no place in STO while it is P2P.

love the store's new look, tres chic.

But this is too much money for not enough bonus,if it was account wide i might look into it but as it is, it's just spit in the eye

    Like the new look.

I will NOT be buying "Per Character" unlocks at all. Both due to the issues with Character Deletion and ownership, and with the Cost Vs. Reward they are priced out.

Once again I MUST remind you are PAY to play this game, and while I understand you must supplement dev costs on some new items, Per-character services are crossing the line.

If you'll be putting slots for sale like this on the C-Store, I'd at least like to see the ability to buy an account-wide bank tab rather than having to mail items to myself.

I like the new interface, and that it's web accessable like the CO C-Store. Very nice.

I Love that we can now buy more bank and inventory slots.

That said, I have some thoughts:

    * I'm unhappy about the per character only facet though. I'd prefer that you had an account-wide option, possibly for a higher cost. The 160AT for the bank per character is overpriced, it should be either more slots (12 isn't that many) or cost less (like 80/12s/char). Inventory slots being 320AT is way to high for 12 slots per character. I understand that you get more function out of inventory, cuz you can take it with you and thus makes your character more versatile in the field, but double the amount? Especially when I think the banking is too high already?

Consider bringing the prices on per character items down, granting more slots, and/or offering an account-wide option at a premium.

Also, there needs to be an in-game method of buying these functions. Champions Online, a F2P game, allows us to use in game "credits" to buy bank slots (and we get a whole new tab/page even!). STO is P2P. How is this right?

I know there's talk of using Emblems to buy AT, and while that's a good idea, unless the exchange rate is fair, it won't be worth it (Hint: 1 for 1 is not a fair rate).

    * Adding 48 bank slots max (12x4) isn't going to be enough, really. Especially at the extreme price of $8 per character. You need to let us add tabs/pages, like fleet banks, using credits.

    * I need additional tabs to split my tribbles from my tribble food.

    * When are we going to get Account-wide banks for sharing items between characters? I understand CO has these (or will soon) in their hideouts?

    * Adding 12 inventory slots adds a required scroll bar to the inventory window. You can stretch it, but it doesn't help reveal the newly added slots, they are always below the limit requiring the scoll. This seems like a bug to someone with a big enough monitor to stretch the inventory window farther than that.

    * There are various bugs in the C-Store that others have metioned as far as showing what's available or not.

    * I'd rather items that are already purchased say something besides "Free" - I'd rather it said "Claim for Free" or "Prepaid" or the like.

 Hmm.... That's all I can think of at the moment. Thanks for listening.

I've very dissapointed in Cryptic, per character for that high of prices....

And really another C-Store only thing? C'mon, make an in-game equivelent.....

Shame on Cryptic...way to add to your own sterotype

My vote is that all C-Store purchases be account wide, not per character.
