I noticed a decent bit last night but haven't tried it this morning yet.
I had no lag last night while ESD and it was pretty full.
I was having lag while in sector space. I took the time to confirm that it wasn't on my end so I made the assumption that it was a server side problem.
I've been lagging like mad since the night before Q arrived. It lags everywhere. My internet connection is otherwise fine; I'm only having trouble with sto.
i am constently getting "server not responding" about every 1-2 mins sometimes more then that. its does matter if im in ESD or way out in space away from every body. doing away mission is pracitlly impossible. i have tried setting my proxy to US, and still continue to have this issuse. not sure if they need to add more servers or do a upgrade or if it's something on my end. Oh and for general knowledge im using a 6x core procseser (1 week new puter) with cable internet directlly to puter. any of you have this problem or know how to fix it ( if it is on my end)

Exact same problem I am having, Everything was fine a few nights ago and then bam, 3 nights in a row I can't complete a single mission due to the server not responding.
I have checked my rig and data limits and all are ok on this end so I assume some small patch has messed up some settings for me.
At the moment I have cancelled my account as there isn't any point paying for something I cant play.
your nettest is marginal anytime cloumn 1 and 3 are less than 250 (yours are close 260) and column 2 is less than 14 (your is 8) you will have disconnects and lag problems
also you should not have this big a jump in the hop within the same domain network router

Thanks for the help Pegasus, is there anything I can do on my end to solve this or will I simply have to /quit?
basicly you will have to work with your ISP. show them the tracert results , have them do a quality check on your connection . let them know the game uses ports 7000-7500 and if they can do a QOS check or setting for those to the IP .

Once you get away from the Volume of other players, and get to earning the Double Points, most of the lag should dissipate some.

Nettest was fine all ports ok with ranges of 260/8/270 which since I'm playing from Aus seems to be about right.
Tracert came up with this

I'm not expereinced enough to know what that all is.
Just to be clear though, nothing has changed on my end. I used to be able to play this game fine up until 4 days ago now.

so looks like there a router problem at reach.com
