Server not responding... yet again...

Ok, same deal as before. The client loads up, if I get past the login screen, it disconnects while loading the map. I had a pain getting it to patch correctly, and within half an hour of playing this happens.

Is there any alternative to filing a ticket? Also, what's the correct place to discuss customer support? I think it's an issue that may need looking at if the ammount of dissatisfaction I've encountered is any indication. (It's good when it's there, it's just never... there?)

A Tech ticket would be the way, but I fear that Tech will not be able to do much for you in this case. :(

If all our users had a problem with the Server, my forums would be aflame right now - as in, every forum and sub-forum would have numerous threads. We also have a lot of users on the server right now, playing and we do not see a huge number of drop-offs.

Tracking down this needs your help.

Run a Tracert to patchserver.crypticstudios.com and share your results.
Use the NetTest tool (you can find it along with instructions right here) and share your results here.
Your connection speed, your ISP, from where you connect (general location, not address) could also give us clues what's happening.

Concerning CS: Feedback would be per ticket to either support or community. The forums are indeed not the place for it, sorry.

I am having a problem loading STO. When I plug in my DSL the game works fine. However, when I try to play over my wireless connection I am not able to even get the launcher to work. All it says is “Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate----Trying to update the launcher. Please be patient. ---Tried connecting ____ times. “
It will try connecting forever. I once let it try 25 times. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

This looks like a possible network/router/host firewall problem... Is something blocking ports 7000 - 7500 by default???
