post a dxdiag report on your. also if you are using win7 or vista have you set the properties of the launcher and gameclient exe to run as admin.

There was a change in the code that checks what versions of directx your driver/card support that has caused some unsupported cards that use to work to no longer work.

ok I had first thought you might have been using a intel graphic card but your dxdiag shows thats not a problem.
unless your card is going bad.

    Are you using teamviewer?

will require more thinking and research so in mean time I would open a ticket with support and include the dxdiag and the error ID number for them to work on it .
hopefully someone will be able to figure it out.

I Googled some stuff on the card (and ATI drivers); and I think your error is related to this (from your DXDiag):
    D3D9 Overlay: Not Supported

As a lot of ATI users seem to be reporting issues with other games; and it seems the games require this to be supported in the ATI driver.

I also found this entry to be interesting:
    DX Setup Parameters: Not found

From the errors you posted, it does seem to be a DirectX D3D issue. Have you run a DXDiag on your system recently?

On this computer, the game was running a few weeks ago. I have the same graphics card on my own PC and there is nothing wrong with it.

I just don't understand why the Launcher will not launch at all. on the first attempt it comes up with trying to connect to launcher and then the crash diagnostic tool comes up with access violation.

I had the same problem this morning, I reloaded my JAVA and fixed it. Must of been a JAVA update or like. I first removed the old JAVA then reinsatlled the new JAVA. Hope this helps.

Have you verified that your IE install is working correctly? It is possible that a Windows Update may have broken something with your IE install which is required by the launcher.

If you are using TeamViewer, this will cause the game to crash. You must disable TeamViewer before starting the game.

If you are still having problems, try re-installing DirectX.
