How does Ten Forward and all of its 10ites celebrate the super holy effin' awesome news of Atari dropping Cryptic? With a big GTFO and don't come back! Que the music, que the lights, bring in the bacon wrapped celebration cake, and PARTY!
I'm guessing it's still both until officially sold. So... I expect Wishy to close up this thread and not to start fully celebrating until the sale if officially closed to whoever the new prospecitive buyers will be.

what if they dont get a buyer and cryptic is forced to close up shop? you still going to celebrate your lifetime out the window?
It peanut butter and jelly time! Question is can we realistically hope for the forum rules to return to Cryptic's old set or will they just keep Atari's set? I reserve my party dance until we find out more.

If the game falls short of 18 months, I sitll think I will have received my moneys worth. We haven't been charged for feature episodes and seasonal updates which were good enough to earn a few bucks more out of each of us at the very least.

Half the fun will be all of the server migration going on. It wasn't that long ago that all of the Cryptic stuff moved over to Atari servers and we're going to have to prepare for this again if the company does get a buyer. Obviously, new owners come with new rules. Personally, I hope whatever system comes into play, it's a hell of a lot closer to what Cryptic originally had in place and not thing ridiculous like the Atari stuff we're stuck with now.
Worst case scenario, the game goes bust. If that happens, it's still PARTY TIME because we've had a lot of fun with this title. Get a bunch of 10ites together, get some group screenshots with our toons, ships, etc to have once the game is done. I'm uven up for farming Nerve Tonics in advance to make sure everyone is on the right page.
Nerve tonics huh? tyvm btw. That was very sweet of you. Oi! we could always migrate to a new MMO should that happen.
No thanks needed! It was the least I could do for borking up your opportunity to get more on more than one occasion. I'll be doing another run through the mission later tonight. If you're up for it, we could team and get some more.
When it comes to MMO's, STO was a stretch for me. As someone who likes Trek but not Star Wars, WoW, FF, and most other things that end up having an MMO based around them. I highly doubt I'd bother with another unless Neverwinter sees the light of day and offers up a lot of what I liked about the first game. Even fi that was the case, I doubt I'd go for it anyway unless there was an open beta like STO had and the offer of a lifetime sub available pre-launch. I don't like reoccuring charges but don't mind paying one fee for a game, even if that fee is $240.00USD.
