*Sniffle* I liked it so much better than that JJ... thing, and Scotties words from TNG "I've served aboard 11 ships and this is the only one I think of.... the only one I miss" is brilliant to me.
I've seen those two before, the first one I think is the best designed, but the rendering on the second is superb. Both are better than the JJ Abrahams one by a margin, I just hated the way everything was arranged at the back with the pylons, it looked flimsy.
I agree. I approve of Daniel Broadway's vision a lot. If the TOS Enterprise had been made with the resources they had in the first TMP movie, my mind can get around it looking like this.
edit: the actual Enterprise model used was actually done by someone going by the handle "MadKoiFish".
Broadway's version is, IMO, superior - it has the proportions and general look of the TOS Constitution, while retaining many of the styling cues and detailing of the new movie.
The JJ Abrams Enterprise is just way to "bubbly." Especially in the nacelles, which are also way too big. The other thing that really bugs me about it is the neck looks too far back where it connects to the Engineering Hull.
Overall, it looks like it should belong in a bad 1950's movie. It just looks... "off."
Definitely much better than the Abrams version. It suffers from the same issue with the nacelles, though. It's not bad overall. I would have been happy with that as the Enterprise, if it had the forward torpedo tubes.
@OP it looks really good and is allot smoother than some of the other re-imagined 1701s I have seen.
Though I like one you found better I like this one too.
I really like this one. Quite a bit, actually. It seems to me like what the Enterprise could have been if the had the technology to do it in the 60's. I like the cutout in the Engineering Hull. It adds a new dimension to the ship without going too far, in my opinion. It looks like a modernization of the classic Enterprise with a few new ideas.
I also like that they included the forward torpedo tubes. The front of the nacelles have a slight bubble to them in this one, as well, but it's not as noticeable and seems to meld with the rest of the nacelle quite well.
Overall, I feel this one is a great melding of the Classic Enterprise with new ideas to make it fancy and new without making it just look silly or going too overboard with it.

The one everyone believe at first was going to be the new Enterprise.
*puts on combat helmet and dives into nearest foxhole*
There are a "few" similarities to the JJ enterprise, allow me to point them out.
So in conclusion.....
You should dive into a foxhole! Jk

Yeah... I would have loved to see that movie, heh.
