Anyone run ever STO on a normal laptop?

I'm going to be away from my main computer during the Romulan reruns.

I will be taking my laptop with me.

Here are the stats:
Core 2 Duo T5450
3GB Ram
Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 384MB of Dynamic Video Memory and GM965 Chipset

Has anyone one used STO with a similar GFX chipset? I don't need it to look good I just need it playable.

Main PC Stats:
Athlon 64 4000+ Single core
3GB Ram
Radeon HD 4650 1GB (Bought this one after I got STO (strongest AGP card, I think)

Hey man - I only have my laptop (waiting to move into my new house before I build a desktop).

It sounds really similar to yours EXCEPT for the graphics card.

I've never been a fan of the Intel intergrated video cards, so I can't promise you anything but I suspect that it should at least be able to run - just not beautifully. Like I said the processor and RAM shouldn't be a problem, but my only concern is the vid card. I'd be willing to bed that it'll run though - just turn everything down :p

I only have a laptop. It can't handle high lighting quality. It lags sometimes, but it works fine.

Same here, heck the CPU is more powerful than on my main, my worry the GPU. I know I'm going to have to get a cooling pad since WOW at medium, tends to warm it up real good.

I bought this laptop for my business so GPU wasn't on my list. LOL

Should be fine, just run on somewhat minimal settings. My gf has an integrated chipset i believe and it runs ok on hers.

My only problem with my laptop is the lack of a mouse or trackball. The sensitive pad makes next to impossible to play reliably.

    But it handles STO nicely.

    Stats:

    -Intel I3-370M
    -4 gigs of RAM
    -ATI 5470 Mobility

Yeah dude, a mouse is the only way to go - I have a tough enough time trying to play minesweeper on with the touchpad!

I have run STO on a similar setup.. Only downside is you have to down the graphics to a setting that runs smooth enough.. Which when your used to having your main machine on MAX detail - really makes you want to move to that..

Good side tho - is it does work - and you can use it on the road for still getting your STO fix ;)

    - X -

p.s. I would recommend something with ATI or Nvidia graphics over Intel anyday :S

I ran STO on a POS desktop that technically was below the minimum specs. Most of the graphics weren't very detailed and I always had long load times. So I'm gonna guess that you'll be fine, but with only and integrated graphics chipset you're probably gonna be stuck with low res graphics.
