This, Tribbles and Gentlemen, is why the Picard Facepalm was invented.
LOL.
That is absolutely hilarious. I love watching reporters stumble when reporting on the military. I don't even watch local stories on the military. The more local you get the more likely you are to see a service member professionally answering moronic questions or see the reporter stumble over basic terminology. Although if the reporters in Germany I suppose they've got some excuse. On the other hand, it takes two seconds to look it up on Wiki or google and the actual logo will come up.

Maybe someone thought that it couldn't possibly be that easy and searched longer for it on Google Image Search, ignoring the first pages.
Awesome! Someone should send him an email telling him that the official name of the Seals Team 6 is STV Elite Force. Send him one of the images from Google Images.
This was already posted...and overzealously moderated...........
You're right about it being overzealously moderated. They even moderated my SIGNATURE, which served me well for over a year, and deleted it, forcing me to make a new one!!! And I'm pretty sure it only got looked at because I posted in the thread that got moderated!!!

...Ahem.
...Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Because googling SEAL Team VI or SEAL Team 6...does not result in anything but the official logo/patches....
BUT...if you google Maquis or Star Trek SEAL Team 6...you get the Maquis badge....so this tells me someone did it on purpose.
Nice! I had to share that one on my Facebook page
EPIC FAIL!!!!!
Oh you mean Maquis?
I cannot stop laughing. Please take a look here:

It is hilarious though. Wish I could have seen it live.
I searched for it, but could not find anything about...
But I am still rolling on the floor...
For the LULZ
Your so far behind the German TV station has retracted the story and apologised for the mistake.
This is what you call, "Going Viral." It'll make its rounds through the internet for a year. Gotta be embarrassing, though.
