That doesn't sound like a planet/system that is on the map. It sounds more like a exploration mission. You probably picked up the mission in one of the exploration clusters (like Delta Volanis). Just go back into the exploration sector where you picked up the mission. When you get there, there should be a button along the right side of the screen that you can click that says "continue Lambda Apodis..." or something to that affect.

Sounds like a planet from an explore mission. I might be wrong so correct me if I am.

If it is a planet from an explore mission, you'd have to go back into the system in which you acquired the mission (e.g. Delta Volanis, Arucanis Arm, etc.) Once inside said system, there should be an interaction window with the name of the planet you mentioned. Click on that and you should be sent to the planet.

Hope this helped and if you need any more help, feel free to send me a message. :)

You may need to fly toward the center of the Explore Sector to make the Continue Mission Button pop up??

I had to a couple of times.

First of all that mission sounds like an exploration mission, so you need to go to the exploration area you were recently in.

Secondly, if you can't find a planet through the game you can use my sto interactive map. Just click the Quick Jump List button and choose the planet you are looking for.

    ....

So you had to revive a thread over 3 years old... ZOMBIE THREADS are BAD....

If you fly towards a planet, and don't get a prompt for a patrol or something else, that means the only way to enter is by doing the associated multiple part 'episode' mission assignment...
