Hi im haveing issues with server not responding every few minute while in game. I can log in and out and when server doesnt respond I get logged out but I am able to log back in straight away without issue until server doesnt respond again.
Now ive done everything I can think of to fix it. Took apart router and all connections and reconnected everything. I also checked the new graphics drivers ive installed (Nividia display driver 270.61). Cant find an issue there.
Only two things I can think of its my connection to cryptics servers or its the roadworks outside my house messing with the connections though it seems only STO is affected as my internet is perfect. My CPU specs are ....
* AMD Athlon II X3 425 processor
* (2.7GHz, 1.5MB Cache)
* Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64-bit
* 3GB DDR2 memory
* 320GB hard drive
* NVIDIA GeForce 9200 integrated graphics
This issue has only been affecting me since the 1-5-11 before that everything was fine.
Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download the application and run it (Windows 7 and Vista users make sure to right click the icon and run as admin if you are having issues with the tool running.)
The Nettest tool checks that the ports required for patching and playing Star Trek Online are not blocked or filtered. Good values returned from the Nettest tool look like:
Column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate). If the values in these columns is less than what is expected you may have filtering or blocked ports either on your personal network or from your ISP.
seems I have blocked ports then as the numbers are below 500 in colum 1 and 3 and below 20 in colum 2. Any suggestions on how to unblock it? Thank you for your help so far much appreciated.
If you are seeing values in all the columns, it means that the traffic is not blocked but may be limited or capped by your ISP. If you are located outside the US, you may see better results by connecting to one of the various proxy servers (Launcher > Options) but will ultimately need to contact your ISP for further assistance.

Ah thanks you:) Youve been a great help. I think it might have to do with road works outside my house. That could be disrupting my connection
