Just stumbled over this online. Sorry to hear he passed, but it sounds like he went peacefully and he was 84 wihich is not a short life.

Michael Ansara's Kang is still my favorite Klingon but Koloth and Trelane were both unforgettable characters brought to life by this enjoyable and friendly actor. He was great to his fans and a joy to meet. R.I.P.

Aww... that means Ansara (Kang) is the only one of the "original Klingon trio" left. :(

Which is somewhat ironic, considering that his character went before John Colicos' Kor; and Colicos was the first of the trio to go - especially since Koloth died first in "Blood Oath (DS9)."

Sad news, although at 84 years of age, he had a good run.

And yes, of the 'old' original Klingon character actors of note on TOS Michael Ansara (Kang) is now the only one still around.
