So.. who is watching? Just curious..

I have the news on in the background, it's pretty much all they're going to talk about unless something explodes somewhere..

I somewhat like monarchies, but I am frightfully anachronistic like that..

Mind you, I'm not particularly attached to any specific nation's...

Someone told me I could be the prince's stand in. Does that mean I get the benefits from Kate too? Just saying.....

I may be British myself but I have as much interest in watching this as observing my oven timer counting down to when my tea is ready.

    Little or none basically.

This actually sickens me, CNN has the wedding of some random people, who for some reason are believed to be better than normal people, instead of talking about the massive storm devestating the U.S. and killing hundreds of their fellow Americans and leaving thousands more homeless. Or the other major issues affecting this nation from the economy to the government.

I have no problem with the U.K. having their monarchy, though I don't see the sense in it or the liberty and equality in people who are elveated because of thier bloodline, even if they are officially powerless. But the fact that an American news channel is more concerned about two non-important people getting married rather than the issues and problems facing our nation is disturbing and morally irresponsible. And I dont want to hear TRIBBLE about how morality is relative.

In yellow is why I am boycotting the event. Too much hype for me. Who cares about a super secret dress? I'm certain it will be lovely. Who cares about a unemployed goof camping out for two weeks to be the first in to see the event. Who cares about drive by rehearsals?

What is being done to ease unemployment? I want to know about the energy crisis and how that will affect the price of my broccoli and rice. What about Japan? What about that new fiscal plan that almost shut down the congress in the US? I would like to know what is going on in the world and instead I am getting spammed with the Royals Scramble Sensors V. Oh and the Storms I forgot about the storms in the Southern US. I want to kow more about those too. See what I mean by Scramble Sensors?

Bleh and bah humbug! I don't think I will turn on the TV at all on the day of the "wedding." Certain I will get more than enough of a belly full in the weeks after anyways.

Don't get me wrong I wish them well and I hope William and Catharine will have a comfortable and fruitful union, I just can't stomach all the wedding hype.

Yeah seriously, they can have their white wedding and ride off into the sunset on a road paved with rose pedals.

I'll keep watching my countrymen rebuild after tornado-geddon. At least Weather Channel hasn't lost focus yet.

TBH, I'd sooner watch how badly affected Americans are compared to a wedding between a member of the royal family and a 'commoner'

Either you feel bad or want to watch us suffer for that whole 1812 thing.

I tentatively approve... unless it's the latter

No...it's more the fact that I don't care for all the media coverage of the event. It's like every other bit of news has no importance 'cuase a royal is getting married. I mean, even WEEKS before te event, every 4th page or so had something related to the Royals, never mind all the 'indepth' research and articles.

FOR GOD SAKE IT'S A ROYAL AND A COMMONER GETTING MARRIED! GEESH! DOES THE WORLD GO QUIET? MOTHER NATURE GO TO SLEEP? NO!

    /rant. :p

You'll be endlessly repeating news people already know every 15 minutes or so on a continuing loop until it drives you completely round the bend. Am I right? :D joke by the way

    *Weeps direly for his soul*

Oh gawd! Please! Can you make it stop?

(Randomly: I swear that Kate's walk up to the altar was something straight out of Star Wars. Complete with the LSO, I noticed. Why the hell can't I can get that kind of reception when I walk in to a room?)

I don't see how morality has anything at all to do with what a private news organization chooses to cover... they are privately owned, they have no obligations to the public.. only their shareholders..

    Thats liberty for you... lol

At the very least, two people appear to be happy and reasonably well-adjusted in a relationship. That's a +

Eh. Don't care enough to follow it.

Nope. I haven't bought a single bit of Royal Memorabilia.

Not even a limited edition wagon will tempt me....:D
