    I'd do it.

If it were a little more medically legitimate. :o
The person they showed in the video had pretty mild pointing. I've seen some pretty striking pics on the net of people who have had this done.

could be worse, people could have started a trend of getting operations done so they sparkle in the sunlight.

I think this is more due to a lack of technology than a lack of desire on the part of some peoples... lol

I used to know a guy who had pointy ears, and I mean pointy real life Vulcan ears. His nickname was...... Spock.:p

But having surgery to make your ears pointy.....that's the same as wanting to have a forked tongue like a snake. To each his own I guess.....

    Well..

Japanese women had their eyelids worked on to look less Asian....It's called Blepharoplasty

The Lizardman had surgery on his tongue to get the forked look.

As for sparkling in the sun....

It's called body glitter....You don't need expensive surgery to do it. You can buy a bottle for $3, and look as lame as the freaks from that lame movie....then I can scream at you that "VAMPIRES DON'T <censored> SPARKLE!!!!!!"

Well, we could always go the cheap way and use Kirk's explanation on why Spock's ears are pointed.

I remember an episode of ER where there was a Sci-Fi convention in town and a few people were brought into the Emergency Room because they had tried cutting their ears in their hotels rooms for the convention. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I'll keep my nice rounded ears thank you very much

Epic Facepalm :D I wonder if there are people who go to Sci-Fi conventions just to keep the peace between the two camps

    Yeah....They are called BSG fans.

BSG Skinjobs could make any geek stop arguing the finer points of an ISD vs The Enterprise.....

Just wait until the technology exists to allow people to transform into their favorite vehicles. :/
