I am REALLY positively surprised by the return of Q as he does as HE pleases.
But: Q constantly throwing me out off the game by telling me that the "connection to the account server has timed out" is only funny 1-2 times. Now I get this EVERY map change and nearly every log-in.
So, please, dear DEV: How can I turn this fabulous event off? Secret switch?

Dunnagh, are you playing a Tellarite or have a Tellarite BOff? What part of the world are you playing from currently?
I would never play such a thing as a Tellarite, kind Sir.
And I am from Germany.
The ticket response sadly did not solve my problem as he only suggested that I may stop playing via W-lan but use my cable instead. Great advice when everythin else is working great.
The problems started roughly about when foundry was released - but I dont play foundry missions :-/
The problem is likely to be the same as with many other european players: traffic jam with Cognet at their submarine calbe between Europe and America.
You could try to chose the EU-Proxy in your STO launcher options. Or set another DNS server than that of your provider in your Windows network settings.

thanks for the help, but I already know about the Cognet-thing. This thread was just meant to be a humerous approach on the matter. I´ll try what you suggested though. Thanks!
This appears to be a duplicate thread, so I am closing it.
Also: While I do appreciate some humor, it is not a great way to get help if you actually need help. If you need assistance, please clearly describe your issue. Else your thread my go unnoticed and we'd be unable to assist you.

Seriously though, that made me ROFL
In that thread the GM only tells the Poster to open up a ticket. Thats no answer to the problem being discussed by many in the technical forum.
I am not sure if this could be related to this issue: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?p=3486669#post3486669 ?

And as you are from Germany perhaps this thread of a German STO-Fansite could help you to in your native language: http://sto.buffed.de/board/showthread.php/14868-Launcher-Probleme-amp-Verbindungsabbr%C3%BCche
