Silly is silly is silly. Director! Cut to the next scene.

I... am running out of Monty Python references.

According to the discussion section just above ten forward, WishStone is running out of Monty Python references.....sad.

I submit the following, and then maybe I can get this out of my head and get some sleep.

The Argument clinic, specifically the end bit with the cops coming in to arrest the cast (arrest the thread for violating the "not in front of the children act")
Beat the thread into submission by saying "NE!"
"Bring out your banned!" (vis a vis "Bring out your dead")
The spam sketch (many ways to use this)
Dunk the thread in a river to see if it's a witch (holy grail)
Enchanter Tim blows up a thread
The Spanish Inquisition locks it up to conduct pillow torture
Sign up the thread to be an organ donor

anyone else got something?

You silly klingon kniggits. I EWP in your general direction. Your mother was a tribble, and your father smelt of rippleberries.

    Was that python enough? :D

I normally don't post much here but the multitude of Monty Python quotes lured me.

“Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!”

    There, enjoy.:D

IMHO the best one for a forum mod:

    Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

How about a reference to The Holy Grail where the story just ends because the writer just keeled over?

Aww....didn't know we were permitted to adlib.....:( Well....back to direct quotes.

"All right ... all right ... but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order ... what have the Romans ever done for us?"

Ad-libing is part of 10Forward. We can direct quote all year long but to spin it to the situation, that is priceless. ;)

Knights, I bid you welcome to your new home. Let us ride to Ten Forward!

It was a fantastic success. Over 60 000 times more powerful than Ten Forward’s great pre-war joke, and one which STO:discussion just couldn’t match.

Your highness, when I said that you are like a stream of thorion particles, I only mean that you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around it is dark.

My postings, like color television, are all there in black and white.

There's nothing an agnostic can't do if he doesn't know whether he believes in anything or not.

Sweet, now wishstone no longer has an excuse for not having a readily available python based quip when locking a thread....and we get to relive some great python weirdness.:p

Surely the new opening of almost any thread on the boards.
