My best wishes to cryptic, California, and Japan

I heard on the news today that "harmless levels" of radiation are reaching the coast of California as a result of the Japan quake. I only hope that it stays that way. I know that Cryptic is directly affected by this and my best hopes go out to you and all. I am a radiologic technologist by trade, so I know the danger and risks of radiation. My thoughts also go very much to those brave volunteers who are essentially sacrificing their llives to try to keep the reactors from melting down. I know this isn't STO related but it's something I felt like saying.

I had not seen that, most of my time I have been looking into whats been going on in Libia. Living on the west coast myself and having family in Ca I really do hope its "harmless levels" of radiation. "They" say 50 miles is a safe zone, but high levels at a source can contaminate a large area. Japan is going through some hard times right now and the radiation mess is really hurting the normal relief efforts. people are staying away from the radiation and that means they are staying away from the disaster area...

Most of those people will most likely be fine. To quote Dr. Grant "Reverse Darwinism, survival of the most idiotic."

Iodine is pretty easy to get out of one's system. Really only the Heavy Metals, Stimulants and Muscle Relaxants are things that carry the largest consequences with overdose. Of course enough of anything will kill, I really doubt hammering Iodine Tablets could cause death unless one made it their breakfast, lunch and dinner.

And yes. Reverse Darwinism. And raptors in hats.

You can insult the Red Sox all you want, but leave Boston and for that matter the Bruins out of this

Odd, that almost exactly mirrors my response...
