Any chance for a more "realistically" scaled version of that shuttle interior? The detailing is nice, but the size proportions looks way off.
If they made a realistically scaled interior, they wouldn't be able to have 10v10 PvP ground arena matches on these runabout maps, or have missions where you have to fight off 3 battalions of Cardassians to regain control of your shuttle.
I think it would look a lot better if it looked more like this
Agreed - that's a huge improvement.
Got to say, while it's kind of close to the traditional Runabout interior look, there's something about it that makes it feel more like a room of some kind and less like a shuttle/runabout 'cockpit'.
She looks nice, If they can close the height issue, great, but as has been said before, some that is involved with the camera so who knows. Meanwhile, back at Runabout Headquarters, we're having a sale on hoverchairs, why sit when you can hover! (please can that get adjusted!)

That's a 50% reduction in the height between basically the bottom of the window and the ceiling.
The shuttle interior looks good. I take it back. The shuttle interior looks fantastic and near awesome. I assume that the interior shot is from what should be considered a standard shuttle. It looks great. However, I thing the bridge shown in the photo would be a better scale for just about any tier of starship in the game. There's just too much wasted space aboard these STO starships.

I agree, if it's not a runabout but some larger, newer shuttle - it'd make sense.
Now if they get the vertical scale just right, and add the appropriate aft compartment windows to the Runabout Model, I'll never leave my runabout again!
Looks cool. I'm sure they'll do their best to make the ceiling as low as possible but they may be about at their limits.
Speaking of limits, The TOS interior was forced to have a Ready Room because there was no way around it (missions require it, understandable). This makes me wonder if shuttle interiors will be forced to have a RR also?
Very cool, always nice to see new content. I hope there are missions where we have to get in melee fights on our shuttles. I've been looking for a reason to hop in my captain's yacht and take it for a spin.
It looks very nice, but I agree with those who say it's too tall. Overall, I feel that it is too large in all directions, but I can live with the length and width, they look reasonable. The height just kills it.
I think that most of us who are really dying for shuttle content are those who want to see smaller things in general. The people who really appreciate shuttles will appreciate the cramped interior design. The camera issues have not seemed nearly so bad as advertised.
Some day I hope to see a real Runabout interior. It has always been a dream of mine. Were I to build a house, I would be hard pressed not to include that.
I think it's cool. A little tall. The viewports look more like windows. They should be canted outward more. And why are there two levels of windows? For a rough draft it's awesome.

Why would you wanna do something like this on a shuttle and how? Stepping on your opponents feet 'til he's dead? It is still a shuttle!
or have missions where you have to fight off 3 battalions of Cardassians to regain control of your shuttle.
So many for one shuttle? By the way, fight back Janeway style: fasten your seatbelt and open the door! No more Cardassians, no more problems.
Who said anything about anyone *wanting* these kind of things? It's clear from the scale of all our interiors that is what they're designed for, even when it makes no sense whatsoever. They wouldn't even have made an interior if they didn't intend for it to be used in a mission. That means it has to be scaled to allow for at least 5 players and/or BOffs (1 team) plus pets (drones/turrets/tac team), plus an assortment of opponents (which as you should have seen in previous missions by now, means 'waves and waves of enemies' on a Dynasty Warrior scale) multiplied per player on the map, and enough room for an epic battle to take place. No, it doesn't make any sense, but this is what they do (and I always hope they'll prove me wrong).
Honestly, the only interior I'd believe for a second needs to be over-scaled for camera issues would, in fact, be a shuttle interior. I just hope they all don't look so obviously like a runabout interior *note the fore windows*
Sadly most of our bridges are about 10 times this size when they only need to be around 5 times this size to very closely match canon AND allow enough room for action and adventure.
This shuttle interior currently only has room for adventure which I'm fine with since no one gets action for flying a shuttle...

I'll bet Tom Paris got a LOT of Action, when he flew a shuttle around San Francisco.

This. Horizontal is pretty okay but it's way too tall.

thanks for the link over Dorko!

and dan dont forget the replay terminal.

Ok, maybe not never...

Argh wrong movie.
That's no shuttle interior. It's a huge loft!

It looks alot like the interior of a Delta Flyer.

Larger than my first apartment.
That is just about the size of my upstairs apartment...
Actually, my two family house is about the size of two Runabout's stacked on top of one another...
I'd luv to have the money to make my apt look like that!

10 points to the OP for posting this
