Help on getting started

Hey i just downloaded Star Trek online demo, and now after getting the patching done i cannot access the game. On the bottom of the launcher on the left of the ``Engage`` button it is written ``Unable to start the game: File couldn't be found``

Please help!

    Sounds like your missing some files. Do a force verify. (On the launcher click options, then tick force verify) then restart the launcher and let it check all the files.

    I just did it twice and it's not working... Do you have another idea?

    FIRST make sure both the startrekonline.exe (the launcher ) and the gameclient.exe are set to run as administrator. After doing a bit of researech in the forums, this should fix it

    Failing that Delete GameClient.exe and exes.hogg, and then repatch.

    If you go into the STO installation folder can you start the game directly from the exe. I think its gameclient.exe. Also try clearing all cookies etc from internet explorer.

    If you have temviewer installed disble it

    Exact same problem here,i tried to run it as administartor and now it starts to download the patch all over again,wtf is wrong with this game,errors all over the place at start up even???
    Take an example at other MMOs,this is major TRIBBLE already at first impressions!!!:eek:
