I'm not sure there's any more than usual, we're just in the information age now, where we hear about literally EVERYTHING that goes on in the world, right away.

I've just seen the pictures on BBC News. Disturbing. Japan has already suffered one quake recently, too. :(

Scaled up from 7.9 to 8.6 on the Rigter scale. Pretty horrific images coming from there. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected by it.

At least Japan is prepared for such disasters. Prayers for all those affected. My brother is stationed outside of Tokyo with The Army, he didn't get much sleep last night due to all the aftershocks, and from what I can tell, his motorcycle is wrecked. Otherwise he's fine. I would imagine he'll get used to help in the cleanup along with the rest of the US Military types stationed over there

Our thoughts and prayers to all the people of Japan as well as a few of our Fleet members that reside in
that Country. We hope to hear they are well and have not suffered personal loss to themselves or their families
and friends. In a time of such an epic disaster, it is important that we ban together to help our friends across
the sea. Take a moment today to say a prayer for them. It will make a difference.

To our Fleet members residing in Japan, please let us know as soon as you can that you are OK.

    We are thinking of you.

Geez. I remember having a minor earthquake here once. Some people didn't even feel it. It freaked me out, though. I was driving to work that day wondering if there were going to be ancient germs rising from fumes or something. I'm very paranoid.

They're talking about the tsunami hitting soon... I'd be very surprised if that thing made it all the way across the ocean to the US. That'd really show just how powerful that thing was.

Hmmmm I wonder if this is related to Hawaii's volcano?
    Wow. Just wow. Reported.

    edit:

Yeah, when people are dying it's no time for remarks like that. Saying something that Hitler would say while comparing someone else to Hitler is quite ironic.

It's the little exclamation point under the username. I thought it was just something emphasizing that the person was online.

I'm not gonna lie, Japan getting hit by a tsunami makes me laugh. When you have a club called Hitler its only a matter of time before the karma of the universe decides its payback time.

Your statement doesnt make sense, since people who had nothing to do with that club were also effected by the quake. If it were really "karma" then it would have been selective. Its things like this that actually prove there is no such thing as "karma", since both good and bad people are effected equally.

Maybe he will, but since you are obviously religious then you should know that it isnt your place to say.

Well that depends on your religion since Karma comes from a religious belief (such as Hinduism and Buddhism). So your comment makes no sense silly Ferengi.

Lets keep this ON TOPIC shall we, It's all about your thoughts and prayers for the Japanese and all others caught up in the Quake. Not about Karma or Hitler or anything else.
