And you assume that giving klinks more content will draw more new players.... why? Because it's proven for a fact that new players almost always pick the human race for starters (WoW when it started, everyone wanted to play Alliance humans - AND WoW started with balanced factions)
For something to be a proven fact, you have actually have...proof. So please, provide your "proof" for us to review.
whilst its hard to make a generalised statements i think the lure of star trek is too strong. we are not fans because we kind of, sort of, dont mind star trek. we are fans because we love it. announce a fully formed klingon faction and i bet you would see a very large chunk of those people back in a heartbeat.
True enough, though those whom are fans of the KDF have long memories and hold grudges.....
"People will make humans first" is currently hard-coded into this game - Klingons are unlocked by first creating a Fed character and leveling them to at least Lt 6. This isn't too hard, even I managed it in one or two evenings, but it should be considered.

This is going to change soon as Dstahl has said they are adding a KDF tutorial to start from the begining, as well as more content to go with it.
...I for myself would never play klinks even if they have MORE content than feds, because I don't like them...
This is exactly why you, sir, should stay out of the threads discussing Klingon content. Especially since all you do in this is antagonize and berate those of us who do like Klingons. This attitude is exactly while there is still so much discrimination going on IRL to this day. Frankly, this sort of discrimination is a violation of the forum rules.

Since you can make a non-human Fed, that is incorrect.

His opinion is just as valid as yours, and one I personally share. The devs could make tons of exclusive KDF missions and it would not make me want to play on the KDF side. Some people are simply not interested in playing KDF reguardless of content.

Which is fine. But aside from stating that, those people have nothing more to discuss in regards to the subject of Klingon content because they say they arent interested in it.

Agreed to a point, except until ideas are thrown around like making the next featured episode a Klingon-based one. Then it becomes more relevant for all involved.
For the record, I wouldn't mind a Klingon-based F.S., just as long as the Fed side doesn't stray too far from the norms (ie. having to blow up transport ships or murdering everyone who crosses my path, ect.). The Gorn idea mentioned earlier sounds interesting.

FE's are not "exclusive" to either faction, therefore they are not "exclusive KDF missions". That being the case, FEs, regardless of what they may be about, have nothing to do with my response to a post about "exclusive KDF missions".
Now your changing the subject. But just so we're on the same page, here is your previous post
The subject changed because I was speaking to another poster, in which I was agreeing with what was quoted, then when I replied to you, it was under a different context. I really have nothing more to say on the matter.

I never said F.E.'s were exclusive to one particular side. I said the Devs could make tons of exclusive KDF missions (as in, leveling-up missions) and it would not make me want to play on the KDF side. I also said I have no problem with a Klingon-based F.S. as long as it stays in proper context on the Fed side.

I also share the opposite of your views. Cryptic has continiuosly pandered to the feds, filling them with new content and I have yet to go back becuase I do not like the feds and will not play them regardless how many self-righteous players spout off from the mouth about thier "special"-ness.
SO what it to you if they make more KDF content if you have no interest in it?
Why spout hate against something you will take no part in?

Please tell me that you are NOT applying real-life discrimination laws to a fictional race...
Besides, if there were Real Klingons they'd be the ones hauled in to court for discrimination more than anybody else. After all, Klingons are clearly superior to humans.

Um....okay. I don't particularly like Klingons but I have nothing against people who play KDF side. I just don't know what to say about your views of Fed players....except this type of attitude is helping nobody.

No, I was not saying discrimination against a fictional race, just against the portion of the player-base that prefers to play one faction over the other faction. Studies have shown that fans of a fictional series, sports, etc. treat what they're a fan of in much the same way a religious person treats their religion, minus the prayers of course. Therefore berating someone who is a fan of one faction of a series, such as the Klingon, Romulan, Federation, etc. in Star Trek, is equivalent to berating someone for their religious beliefs.
When I undertook this research, my first intention was to focus on how ST [Star Trek] draws a picture of the future that is attractive to many Americans. But early on I realized I was dealing with something much bigger and more complex than I had anticipated...it had features that paralleled a religious-type movement: an origin myth, a set of beliefs, an organization, and some of the most active and creative members to be found anywhere Religion often points us to another world; ST does the same.
Is Mike Ditka one of the more blunt-spoken evangelists of Americas true folk religion? Is Walter Payton a living saint of our national faith? And is the Super Bowl the ritual revival service for believers and skeptics alike?
The answer, brothers and sisters, appears to be a resounding yes, by the reckoning of James A. Mathisen, a sociologist at Wheaton (Ill.) College. Mathisen, in a scholarly paper presented in Washington at the annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, argued that the Super Bowl has become the American spectacle of folk religion . . .the festival of the folk, (celebrating] their faith, their practice and their history.
I just don't know what to say about your views of Fed players....except this type of attitude is helping nobody.
Take it for what it is, a genuine dislike of the fed behavior of "elitism". The genuien held belief by some fed fans that we KDF fans are not worth the effort of having a developed faction to enjoy in the star trek genre.
Yet I see insults cast at the KDF and those whom enjoy them as fans on a near daily basis by some feds in this forum.
How do you think that makes us feel? Are we to let it slide since teh fedfans make the majority of fans?
An FE centered around the Gorn is on idea and a nice one at that. There could also be FE's centered around the Orions, Nausicans or even the Klingons themselves depending on how it is done.
For an FE centered around the Klingons it could be one Klingon House that was infiltrated by the Undine. In such a case, the Federation would get involved because Section 31's operatives discovered the possible Undine infiltration and want to put a stop to it because this house is using or experimenting with subspace or biological weapons in systems in the Klingon/Federation Neutral Zone which would be a great threat to the UFP. The Klingon High Council would get involved, because this rogue House is viewed as dishonoring the entire Empire with its use of and/or experimentation with these types of weapons. This is especially true if it is genetically based biological weapons, because the Klingons don't want the possibility of another virus similar to the one Ms Paris had to help cure in the past.
Alternately, there could be a rebellious uprising of one of the KDF's member races. In which case it could be the Gorn, Orions or Nausicans. This too could have Undine or Iconian involvement since both of those enemies would benefit greatly from fracturing the Klingon Empire just as they did to the Romulan Empire. So in a sense the underlying cause would be similar to the last FE, but the missions and plot could be very different.

Replace "biological weapons" with "Roach singing Klingon opera", and the Federation might have something worth risking our lives crossing the neutral zone to save the universe from.
In all seriousness, we already have missions where we save the universe from Romulans and Remans tinkering with banned weapons. We need a different, more compelling reason. A house war is not a bad idea, although I think a conflict amongst Klingon allies is more likely (Orions versus Klingon, Naussican versus Klingon). The klingon empire was not exactly founded on the principles of peace, good-will, and mutual understanding.

I agree, House conflicts would be cool and given the Devs posting in the past and what some of the Gorn NPC's say in game as you pass them a civil war may be in the process among those races allied to the KDF.
civil wars may get fed attention, but i dont think they would be in a hurry to let the klinks continue oppression
house wars, why would the feds care (i think they are led by an undine anyway)
now if rura penthe had a prisoner to free on the quiet for a mission in the neutral zone i could see the feds getting involved. something for the good of the quadrant which cant be known to the general population
