Remember, the OP is the same guy who wanted all powers removed from our starships because we were too much like space mages.
So he doesn't want to actually do anything, and doesn't like the way it works when he does.
This game costs 50 cents a day to play. If you cant afford that, then dont play it. If you dont think the amount of time you get to spend per day or month is enough to justify 50 cents a day, then that is your choice as well. But none of that has anything to do with any special treatment your character should get in game.
I was thinking:
Wouldn't that mean lifers who take extended absences from the game would be able to trash the economy each time they log-in - i.e. buy all the quest-essential items and sell them at 100000% markup?
Man, I saw the thread title and it reminded me of the old Phillip K. TRIBBLE story about a man who gives up his paycheck in exchange for a few trinkets that turn out to save his life. There's also a really bad Ben Afleck movie about this.
Why couldn't your post have been at least half that thoughtful?

I'm not a fan of rested in-game money - it warps the economy and everyone will adjust to the new influx of cash and stuff will just get more expensive on the exchange.
I'd rather see alternate advancement while logged in and while logged-out, getting rested merit boosts.
Also, I didn't like that Ben Affleck action-vehicle ruining Philip K. TRIBBLE's short story either.

I beat you to it:
I don't think anything else has made me smile that much all day
