Does anyone know a good quality sci-fi and/or fantasy costume shop? I'm looking for a modern-era Star Trek (circa FC-Nemesis) costume and a Xena costume for my wife (:D).

    You can try http://www.shadowdalecreations.com/

They do a lot of different types, including STO variants! Costs a few bucks though.

shadowdale actually looks really good, and if i was ever going to buy a trek uniform, i'd chance them before anyone else.

Truth. Unfortunately, I don't have $700 to blow on a uniform.

I was thinking about making a Vault Suit for Halloween. I found it amazingly difficult to find cheap, classic jumpsuits for sale. :( I've only seen them in a store once, I wish I had gotten a few of them now.

Next project for me will be either:

    Estelle from Tales of Vesperia
Natalia from Tales of the Abyss
    Youmu from Touhou
    Maka from Soul Eater
    Ilyana from Fire Emblem
Mai from My-Hime (Already have one, but it is like 3 years old and apparently I have grown since then in the chest and so is a little tight)
    Gunner from Etrian Odyssey
Soul Reaper uniform with a few variations
Nanoha Takamachi's Barrier Jacket (Season 1)
    Haruhi's costumes
    - Day of Sagittarius
    - Fantasy
    - School
    Shana's uniform
Something Warhammer related like a Psyker or Commissar
My planned supervillainess or superheroine costume

If you're looking for cheap, check out Rubies costumes, I got a TNG costume, complete with resin commbadge and metal pips for about $40 from them. Unfortunately I lost the link to the site I bought it from, but they had a wide selection of uniforms from TOS, Trek 2009, TNG and DS9. The one I got isn't quite TV quality, but it's not bad, it zips up the back like the real thing (the old 90s ones were pull-over style). The fabric is not canon, but it looks good and it's breathable (another problem with the old costumes)

If you want something more professional quality, and are willing to spend time on it, Roddenberry.com sells canon uniform patterns for about $20-40 each piece, that doesn't include fabric, but it's probably cheaper than Shadowdale.
