Well, it seems like this game is just plain permanently dead.

Heh, I like the picture. If I had people yelling at me that I'm making the game too unrealistic, I'd prefer being told via fun picture. :D

It is unfortunate, perhaps Cryptic can pick up this IP and redo it in a better form?

Did the SG shows took the lore seriosly? No. Thatfore I think SGW was in the right cannon. :p

Sad all of the developed conted is loked down, so that nobody could buy, neither the engine, nor some of the work CM did. Coul've been interesting to learn what capacities the engine had.

It was the unreal engine that powered that title.

I wasn't a fan of the original movie, or of the various series that followed.

Stargate took a great idea (the first movie) and smudged it. By making a cheesy scripted series and the upped the cheese factor to Gorgonzola with Atlantis. I am still waiting for Stargate Smurfs.

Although I haven't been a huge fan of the series, I did see some episodes and understood its appeal.

I checked out the wiki and nothing on the first page said that this game was going to be anything like SG-1.

    At Cryptic HQ:

"So guys, we've picked up the Stargate IP to develop an MMO. What have we learned from STO that we can use to refine the creation process this go round?"

"Well, people will flip if the Gould faction isn't as complete as the SGC faction at launch...."

"...and if we mention Stargate Universe....."

"We do NOT speak that name here!!!"

    "Yeah erm.. moving on...."

In all seriousness, the Boff pets system would be a slam dunk conversion to an SG team....

I think if Cryptic Took it over and Developed it from SCRATCH. I think it would be a awsome game. I mean you have good VS evil really cant mess that up. I never really liked the company that had it but to see there team not paid for months is just not fair. I knew back in the day that this game was never gonna get fully developed by them. I think Cryptic needs to Smash there heads in the door and say give it to us. But thats just me.

Honestly, Cryptic could face-roll their dev-team and come out with a Stargate game 10x better than the one CM was pipe-dreaming.

SG-1 was a fun little series to watch. You didn't have to think to hard to keep up, so I could rest my brain. :)
How seriously could anyone really take it anyways? I mean they were Air Force people! I wouldn't trust the Air Force with the tech we give them in the real world, let alone tech from across the galaxy. It would hav been a kick TRIBBLE show if it had been a Navy/Marine Corps show! :D Honestly, who puts an Air Force guy in charge of a Space ship the size of a Naval warship. No Air Force person has ever had to command a moving object bigger than a B-36, and that's tiny compared to on of teh big spaceships they were flying around at the end. Did like Amanda Tapping, although her character was a bit of a Mary Sue.

Atlantis was ok in the begining but really picked up it's pace when Sam Carter took over the mission, ended too soon, I think, but a Nice ending

I lump Universe in the same category as Battlestar Galactica 1980 and Crusade (i.e. It never happened)

I'm probably just bashing it at this point, but SGU was an attempt at riding on the coattails of the popularity of BSG (which I never got into anyway)

I don't know why. I like the big hulking battleships, and I like the Vipers - but there was just something lacking about the series.

Didn't find Boomer or Starbuck that attractive either.

I was actually discussing this game with a fleetmate of mine on TS the other day. We hope it comes through somehow.
