Sunday night I redid my ground crew and so as you can see, this is a fairly new crew I am running with for my ground missions. Probably not the best idea, but eh.

I did another exploration ground mission of the same type (against Kibo or whoever) and had a lot more success with coaxing them out. The final group I had to dispatch, I managed to coax them out without their captain.

I use a team of one Sci, one Eng, and two Tac officers. All of them fully geared and their useful skills maxed out. Between them, the drones I transport in, and my turrets we're basically the away team of the apocalypse. The only time I lose on the ground is when my away team gets stuck somewhere.

I find that the best setup is:

1 Tac officer equipped with various grenades, 1 photon, 1 plasma, 1 stun, and possible focus fire, or something similar.

1 Eng officer with shield regen ability, 1 turret, 1 chroniton mines, and a support drone.

2 Sci officers with medical tricorder, vascular regenerator, nanite health monitor, and have one with dylovene, and the other with melorazine.

With this combo, I never (99.9% of the time) die, and the added turrets/drone help to dish out damage, also the engineer keeps my shields strong and my tac officer is usually racking up some nasty kills.

I only ever have a problem with borg when they start beaming in an overwhelming amount of drones... then when the battle becomes 5 to 1 odds against me... thats when I start losing.

No thanks. Perhaps you might want to read up on them though. It might actually help you to play right. :)

If you actually read those descriptions, you would understand what is being discussed. But, it is your constitutionally guaranteed right to choose ignorance.
