Tech question

Not directly related to STO, so I thought here might be best.

I have two Mushkin Enhanced Callisto 40g SSDs on the way.

The plan is to run them in raid 0 as my boot / OS / game drive, with my two traditional mechanical drives being used for mass storage / non-speed critical programs.

Now the question is, how to maintain the performance of these drives without TRIM support? Win7 has native TRIM, the drives are sandforce, so it supports it...raid arrays however are incapable of passing on the instructions to multiple SSDs in the array. Especially since I'm on an AMD platform, Intel can do one SSD in the array at least.

Ideas on this? Should I just run them as singles and take the loss from no raid and wait until raids can use TRIM?

I very much doubt you would be able to tell the difference the drives are that fast.

So don't worry about it, honestly though you would have been better off getting a 120 gb single drive.
