Here's an odd question I've had for a while - do you guys actually write Captain's logs, or do you just simply not bother?

I burn my logs on camping trips.

No, but I have once and a while used the automated log to figure out what missions I did on which characters or to figure out the exact date I did something in game.

    Otherwise, yeah. Useless.

I use em to keep track of when i change ships "Shakedown Logs" but other than that, I'll post something up there when i'm at work, with no STO to keep me entertained

I use it to make notes on things that are handy to reference in game (The order of the commands to repair the satellite in Traelus, for example) but I don't write actual logs. I imagine this is the intended purpose of them anyway.

    :o

Heh....I actually did write a few logs back when the game first came out, stopped for a while, then took a break. Came back a couple months later, started my logs again not long after, took another break cause there was nothing for me in Season 3. Now I'm back again for the Romulan series, and so I'll probably write another log.

That's a good idea using it as a Notepad, though. I'll have to try that.

It would be a good idea for RPing but the best I can tell, no-one else can read your log.

Technically they can, but in order to do that they need to find your profile and sift through your logs that way, which seems a lot harder than just making a thread in here or linking them.
