Hi everyone,

Recently, I changed my graphic card to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 and at first, I didn't have any problems.
Unfortunately my graphic card started to bug and the colours started to get deformed.

Example 1 (click on it)

So, I ignored the problem until I went to ESD and that my client closed and this message showed up:

Example 2

And so I restarted the game only to have the same message reappear. So my question is why do I have this problem and how can I fix it?

Thank you.

This seems to be indicative of either Driver issues or you got a faulty graphics card.
I suggest you give the 260.99 Nvidia drivers a try.

    Hi,

I installed the drivers but now when I start the game; I get a blue screen:

    Example 3

I don't know if you're able to read French but it says that my driver was stuck in infinite loop and that it was cause by the "nv4_disp" executable.

What do you suggest I do know?

    Thanks in advance

    Roll back the Drivers.

Use Driver Cleaner to completely uninstall your video drivers.

Also run Dxdiag if you have a 64nit OS run the 64 bit Dxdiag

If I understand you correctly, I have to first delete my drivers before reinstaling the 260.99 drivers?

Also, what do you mean about Dxdiag?

You need to uninstall the old ones first for best results yes.
And make sure you get the correct version over the 260.99, I.E that they match your Operating System and type, I.E Windows XP or Windows 7 or if its 32bit or 64bit.

Your in a world of hurt. I suggest getting a friend who is Knowledgeable about computers to help. AT least I can also clarify it's definably a driver issue. So no new Graphics Card for you. If you can't figure it out and A friend can't help, I recommend re-installing windows and Organising your computers drivers and software. Windows should be re-installed at least ever 2 years.

Something I do when stuck, is Google the error description. Lots of great information. Granted it's hard to find, But your on a forum so you must have some common sense

What was your previous Graphic's card? I ask because while it could be a driver issue, or a hardware issue; it could also be a heating issue if your case doesn't have good cooling; and/or a PSU issue if your power supply doesn't have encough wattage to handle the new GTX 470; but I do agree that from that error message; it appears you have a driver install problem; or a DirectX 9.0c install issue.

If you do a driver install and update, you may also want to download and install the latest reditribution package available dor DerectX 9.0c as well (from the Microsoft website).

And as would said above, if all this sounds like Greek to you; you will want to get a friend of yours who knnows and is comfortable with the more techical aspects and have him/her assist you.

Edited to add: If you're using a French version of Windows - MAKE SURE you download the International version of the display driver from the Nvidia site (and double check that the French version of Windows is supported by it; and the same with the DirectX 9.0c reditributable from Microsoft - get the French version.)

I would recommend running a video driver cleaner and doing a fresh install of the latest drivers and DirectX. Make sure they're completely out of the system before installing fresh.
