I'm new to Star Trek Online.
I've played Star Wars Galaxies before so I'm used to MMORPGs and the whole space adventure of the game. So whats the deal with the uniform? Extra uniforms that is. Do you buy them in the exchange or what?
There's a tailor on the Earth Spacedock. He's over on the left. You can get an on duty and off duty uniform there. Also, if you equip armor, that will change your look (an effect you can turn off). There are extra uniforms available in the C-Store, mostly TRIBBLE things. Finally, if you join a fleet, you get an extra "uniform slot" so you can wear a fleet uniform to group events.

You do an When you make Vice Admiral for a Feddie you get the Long Coat but no new slot for it so you have to sort thru what you have..
Klingons side.. I think you are obligated to look like you have a Targ taped under you coat liek a beer barrel..
You forgot t mention you can buy more uniform slots if you like to swap them around but can't be bothered to go to the tailor everytime. Like me.
Also some uniform peices are veteran rewards after you've got some subscription time racked up, though don't ask me to remember which ones you get when...

100 days earns you the All Good Things badge.
200 days earns you the Veteran Uniform which is kinda lacking in some departments...
Oh and getting the highest rank in the Diplomatic Corps earns you a snazzy diplomat jacket. (as seen in... Erm... Think it was Insurrection)
