    2 threads... anyways

All my money is one the scorpion fighter, which you will be able to pilot obviously. They have been talking about fighers and shuttles, and yet no new fighter, why wouldnt this be great for the first ever fighter.. be a pretty sweet special reward

iam been 2/2 for special reward assumptions so.. lets see if i can pull a 3/3 :D

Speaking of Slamek... did anyone else get a sense of Marta from The Undiscovered Country? When we made it out of the cave, I felt like I was being set up... but this episode had that TUC feel to it. I liked it!

I hope they give us either a Reman BO or a Romulan BO, a choice of either based on how you finish the mission would be cool too.

I have a feeling Frozen will affect the reward.

I have the feeling that is also part of why it was short.

I got an accolade for siding with Obisek. Has anyone gone back and switched sides? Does it give you an accolade both ways? Does it erase/replace the accolade you got with the opposite one?

I have a feeling accolades could be used to track decisions like this and next week's episode might have two versions, based off which accolade you have from Frozen. The dedicated will be encouraged to go back, switch their decision and then replay next week's episode the other way for the alternate reward.

This based on my paranoid suspicion that you can only have the accolade for siding with Obisek or against Obisek but that replaying and taking the opposite side REPLACES one accolade with the other and that you can't have both.

I'm just too paranoid to test it right now.

If you were paranoid you could always test it, then switch back if it does work that way.

Anyway, it doesn't. I have both Cease and Desist and Like Minded in my accolade list.

They seemed to craft the mission specifically so that your decision really had no net effect: You either kill some random nobody Romulans or arrest some random nobody Remans. Everybody important ends up in the same place either way, and Obisek has been surprisingly fair and forgiving at every meeting... For a guy sitting on a "small stockpile" of doomsday weapons, anyway.

Edit: Screenshot, just to ease your paranoia. Too far apart to get both in the scroll box at once, but one's selected and one's highlighted. I suppose by a stretch of imagination they could parse your captain's log and see which you earned first, but that seems an obscure solution when they already took pains to ensure that your actual choice was as meaningless as when you chose between Franklin Drake and the captain of the Obsidian.

Edit 2: Am I the only one who noticed that those two accolades have the Orion Syndicate icon, and not Romulan/Reman?

Wouldn't they rather save the playable Scorpion fighter for the playable Romulan Faction?

Somehow, I have a feeling that Slamek isn't the traitor we're being lead to believe he is. It seems more likely that he will turn out to be a double agent, an inside man, unraveling Hakeev's plans from within. Of course, I could be wrong.

Now is this worm some variety from the Star Trek universe, or the one from the Star Wars Ep 4 movie?

Preferably very small and very painful.

I'm thinking a tank full of candiru. Not a worm, technically, but it does kind of look like one.

There were giant sandworms in SW Ep. IV: A New Hope? Say what?

It was in an asteroid. Han accidentally landed the Falcon in it's mouth. It had bats.

Not considering how much effort's been put into updating the model (used to be a generic fighter, but now it's screen-accurate), as well as the (relatively) close-up shots seen in 'Coliseum', particularly in the final cutscene.

Also, consider these points: firstly, 'The Vault' was the first mission to really make a big deal out of playable shuttles, so it's rather suitable that either the final reward (or the special 'early bird' reward for completing the series within an alloted time) be a shuttle.

Secondly, Scorpions are used by both Romulans and Remans, but it's unlikely we'll be able to have both options. If I were to make a guess, I'd say we 'steal' one in the last Featured Episode from the Romulans, so it'd be a Romulan-looking model...

...but waitasecond - all you need to do is equip the Reman prototype shield tech, and BINGO! Reman Scorpion!

It all seems to hang togther too well to be mere coincidence, don't you think? Either that, or I've been over-analysing things madly (wouldn't be the first time!), but it all fits so well together that I'd like to thing I'm on the right track.

Besides, it'd be FRAKKING AWESOME, which IMO is reason enough to keep fingers and toes crossed that it's indeed true! :p

Hmm, it may be possible that a Reman/Romulan officer is the STANDARD offering (unique, though) for the final mission, and the Scorpion is the unique series reward. Kinda doubt it.

It makes sense to update it for this series due to the smaller, more focused action in places like the Vault, and others. I think that we might yet get a set out of the Reman equipment, and we just haven't been allowed to see the other pieces yet to avoid spoilers. That shield is waaaay too powerful for it's supposed stats. It's outperforming my AEGIS by a rather wide margin, which makes me think they've got something hinky hidden that they haven't shown yet.

The way this series is going, it looks highly unlikely that a Romulan will be offered.

Which is too bad, because I'd love a Romulan BO and really, really, really could care less about a Reman one.

Honestly don't get the fascination with the Romulans. The ships are awesome, but the species itself is... Bleh.

I'd certainly welcome a Reman BO though.

With the current shuttle fetish I'm more inclined to believe it's a Romulan shuttle or Scorpion fighter.

I'm inclined to agree with this... with the hype of playable fighters circling the forums we could very well see a shuttle, fighter etc... On the subject of a BO, I'm swinging in the direction of a REMAN BO rather than Romulan. Yes, again rumours of romulans being a playable faction in the future but I think Cryptic are gunna keep that ace firmly up their sleeve and keep us waiting in anticipation.

A Reman BO Is going to be a laugh, why it's joke time.

    Q. What did the Reman say when he got outside the Colosseum.

    A. It's to bright.

So you want a BO that is sensitive to light, how is that going to work (for continuity in game) when you do day missions and fly around in a ship that has a well lit Bridge, give him sunglasses, how many times have you see anyone in sunglasses on the show - about 6 times.

    http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Eyewear

For me the BO option is a not a good reward, my Breen Officer is still unused from the last featured episode.

I would like to see either a Personal / Ship Weapon or a Personal / Ship Item.

I'm telling ya, Warrigul COMBAT pet.

Your onto something here. They teased the Targ combat pets a while back and it kinda faded away. This would be on par with the way Cryptic likes to foreshadow the rewards.

    Their starship.

Honestly non of the ideas I've heard so far about the reward seem like that will be it. A new BO seems too soon after the Breen BO. A shuttle or space pet doesn't seem likely considering the fact that the devs had said they are holding that stuff for a Romulan faction. Clothing also doesn't seem likely since we aren't in the Romulan faction. The only idea I've heard so far which I think has some merit, but I have my doubts about, is some sort of Romulan pet. I don't even believe my own idea of Iconian tech is possible.
