Possibly, but I still think these hypothetical Romulan players would appreciate something unique to all three factions over a BO based on their own primary species. That's sort of the point of Series Rewards.
why not a choice between a romulan or a reman bridge officer, i'd prefer the reman officer on both my fed and klink but thats me, remans have there inate pyscic abbillities. maybe a engineer to and they have the cloak space abillity as there ensign slot.

Romulans will never get the special series reward anyway as they are not playing the series when it was live. Just like they will not get the Breen officer unless it is added to the C-store. So, it doesnt matter if it is Romulan bridge officer.
Probably been mentioned, but how about a Thalaron Tribble?
Anyone....?
>.>
<.<
Actually you're probably on to something there. Given the penchant that Cryptic tends to give us new forms of Tribbles, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we get a Thalaron Tribble. Come to think of it, that sounds kinda cool.;)
I hope for a Romulan BO with choosable gender/class. While I can follow the reasoning that an Ambassador class is around the corner, the chances that it will be a reward are slim. There's no way in hell that the TOS interior will be a reward, all rewards so far followed the theme of the series and this one has nothing to do with TOS.
Concerning a Romulan faction, there are ways to adress that, if even necessary. To be honest I don't think that this series can be played by Romulans without major story changes.
Who else thinks that the special reward at the end of this series will be a Romulan Bridge Officer?
thats sounds pretty boring to me. when we got the breen we had no chance of ever creating anything that even looked remotely like a breen. at least with a romulan you can already make a close approximation of one.
i did originally think some kind of thalaron weapon but that seems a poor choice from a storyline point of view if they are both illegal and frowned upon by even the klingons.
i would not mind some of the romulan and reman costumes to be unlocked.
I say NO to the BO Idea Why When Im a VA would i want a new BO to place into an already crowded bridge makes no sense to me id rather have a phaser with a plasmatwist or something that says,
Hey that Guy has finished those weekly mission and look at his cool Reward
Romulan BO would be cool, but so would a Rom. shuttlecraft or Reman scorpion pet...
Hmm - there ARE 3 more episodes left this series, plus the bonus reward for completing the series in the week of the final episode. That makes FOUR more unique reward possibilities - who says it has to be an 'either/or' situation?

As I said, FE Replay Weekends. Romulan players would probably want more incentive to do them than a very rare BO they could acquire other ways.
Personally, I don't want it to be a BO anyways. Same with deeboboy, I have no room for one.
Honestly though, I'm pulling for the Romulan Disruptor Rifle from "Mine Enemy" as a mission reward and Narada cluster torps as either mission or series reward (pretty please, Cryptic?).
1. Nobody said Featured Episode Reruns will have the same rewards as the original every time or that they won't get new reward options in addition to the old ones, for people who have the original.
2. What if it's a Tal Shiar defector BO with a cloak like Hakeev's and a special ability? That would be good for Romulans too then.
Heck, now that we know Hakeev is a Liberated Borg, what if they doubledipped and gave us a Liberated Borg Romulan Bridge Officer. That would be special for everyone. It's another Borg BO. It's a Romulan. It's all around awesome.
Though I doubt it would be the final reward, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a personal shield or body armor that resists Thalaron radiation. We haven't received a personal shield or body armor as a FE reward yet (that I remember).
[...] gave us a Liberated Borg Romulan Bridge Officer. That would be special for everyone. It's another Borg BO. It's a Romulan. It's all around awesome.
Cover your eyes so you don't get blinded by the sheer awesomness of this idea.
*I'm not sarcastic here - it's really a great idea.*
I'm hoping for a Romulan cloaking device console. (non-battle cloak)
If it's a cloaking device it would most likely be a battle cloak or a "phase cloak" as a regular cloak would be redundant on the majority of klingon faction ships (a battle cloak would be redundant on a BoP, but that srikes me as a more acceptable limitation on the usefulness of the item).
I'd also be more inclined to believe a personal cloaking device (ground) item than a ship cloak due to the above concerns.
I wouln't expect (a) uniform piece(s) as the end of series rewards have thus far all been game affecting items. Perhaps a special armor that scales with level and has the apperence of a romulan uniform?
A thalaron weapon seems iffy to me, but not out of the range of posability (they last one was a soul-eating cane, so I'm not going to assume that the reward has to fit within Starfleet's stated ethics).
A shuttle doesn't seem likley because they already gave us a shuttle and a deployable fighter. It would seem redundant to get another one from the same mission series.
I might speculate about a combat pet Horta, but I expect they would have made the one from Mine Enemy a combat pet if they intended to go that rout.
Unless there's further developments in the story, i'll go on the record as predicting a personal cloaking device ground device, or a phasing cloak (space device, short duration immune to kinetic damage heavy resistance to energy damage, medium boost to stealth, no firing weapons while active).
My guess would be some form of hybrid-borg tech stolen from the "vault" research. then later recovered. (or access to a new "set" for crafting would be cool)
considering you can pick up scematics during the vault.(at least as part of the fed mission) i'm leaning toward it being a craftable item. or component required for making a craftable item.
1. Nobody said Featured Episode Reruns will have the same rewards as the original every time or that they won't get new reward options in addition to the old ones, for people who have the original.
I'm pretty sure that the times dstahl mentioned the Rerun Weekends that it's purpose was to give people the series rewards that didn't have a chance to get them the first time. Though, now that you mention it, an additional series reward alongside the original one would be pretty awesome.

That's... not a bad idea. I'd still like a ship weapon (need I repeat which one?), but I'd take a Liberated Borg Romulan BO. Plus it's unique for everyone.
Congrats, your post wins the Husnock01 Seal Of Approval For Good Ideas Even Though Nobody Knows What The Devs Are Really Up To Anyways. For your efforts, you get a hug.
P.S. Was Hakeev a Liberated Borg? I thought that at first when I saw the black marks on the side of his head, but those were actually a tatoo of the RSE symbol...

The problem with the new set for crafting idea is that not THAT many people craft. The idea of getting into crafting solely for a few items is asinine, because it's extremely prohibitively expensive or takes a very long time. Therefore, even fewer people could benefit from such a reward than a cloaking console.
I should actually get something tangible that gives an immediate benefit in some way, not be forced tospend a crapton of money and a bigger crapton of time to get something tangible much, much later in order to get access to a reward. Just give us the item or set outright.
There's one thing being overlooked in all this talk of a Rommie BO.
The devs have stated (or hinted) numerous times that the Romulans will be the next playable faction. Unless they're planning on making all FEs released prior to then Fed/Klink EXCLUSIVE (which would create a group of players with more to complain about than even the Klingon players), then why would they release a series reward that's super-special to two factions, but all but underwhelming to the third? Why would Romulan players flip out over a Romulan BO?
"But wait, Husnock," you may say, "this FE will be over with LONG before the Romulans come out!" Well, you're right. But what about FE Rerun Weekends, which would almost be a surefire thing if they release a third faction (so the Rommies can get a shot at their own Breen BO and Ophidian Cane)? Again, why would these hypothetical Romulan players be inclined to work for something that they can just get at any BO Requisitions Vendor on Rator III?
So that's why it wouldn't be logical that it'd be a Rommie BO. Me, I'm still hoping and praying for Narada cluster torps (Cryptic was allowed to use Red Matter in the game, so why not yet another weapon that originated in the Prime Universe?).
Don't forget FEDS who reach ambassador status got a klingon faction BO. That was of no use to Klinks.
Don't forget FEDS who reach ambassador status got a klingon faction BO. That was of no use to Klinks.
Two problems with that;
One, becoming a Federation Ambassador is Federation content. Weekly feature series is Federation and Klingon content. Comparing the usefullness of the reward from the first to the reward of the second for Klingons doesn't work.
P.S. Was Hakeev a Liberated Borg? I thought that at first when I saw the black marks on the side of his head, but those were actually a tatoo of the RSE symbol...
He doesn't appear to be. Strictly speaking, Picard doesn't look like one either, so he could have been a more successful one with no leftover hardware, but that seems like something that would be referenced somehow - if only by having some optics or something sticking out.
I think we're more likely to see Romulans "upgraded" with borg tech than liberated Borg in this story arc, if we see anything like that. But I don't think Hakeev falls into that, either - remember he wasn't at the Vault, that was Obisek.
With the current shuttle fetish I'm more inclined to believe it's a Romulan shuttle or Scorpion fighter.
I seem to recall Dstahl saying that Romulan shuttles would more than likely be saved for the Romulan faction, so I doubt that it will be a Romulan shuttle. All we know is that Stormshade said it would be something really good, but that doesn't tell us much.
I don't want a Vulcan character skin with an attitude that is really just has a couple swapped traits. Now a Reman would make my crew more interesting.
I don't really care for another BO either, if it is Ill probably end up selling it for millions. I'm predicting the Vulcan Lirpa as an episode reward in the next few weeks, but the series reward I have no idea. I'm predicting the Ambassador class to be released in this series sometime, and the idea of a tharalon tribble isn't too far fetched either. But Klingons wouldn't benefit from another tribble.
I'm very much looking forward to the Lirpa though, my Vulcan science officer could use some Vulcan weaponry. And one of the main reasons I'm suggesting this is because of the upcoming episode called, "coliseum." It would be even cooler if the reward was like that in the Devidian series (blue phaser or klingon disruptor) and you could choose between several new melee weapon types.

edit; maybe a spare slot for said BO too, like with the shuttles.
I would also really, really like to be able to add Rommie parts (like scalloped wings) to my ship and tint it Rommie Green. ((Pretty, pretty please))

Didn't they already give us Scorpion fighters at the end of The Vault? Or do you mean like a pet and not something that's used as an item?
1. The STO universe IS the Prime Universe.*
2. A Romulan BO (I want it so much!) can be an Episode Reward without being the ultimate Series Reward! --> Thus we can get any
