I reject your premise and substitute my own.

Ponder this....if a deaf man goes before a judge is it really a hearing?

It would be if he brought his seeing eye dog! Because the dog could hear what was said. The better question would be is will there be any understanding. I'd like to think so. Dogs are smarter then we give them credit for. Except for when they eat their own turds.

Now you are all going to ask why would a deaf person have a seeing eye dog

    1. That is perhaps the most flawed argument I have ever heard....other than the argument for smurfs laying eggs as a mode for reproduction. The dog is a lie.

    2. My avatar is Pikachu in Terran Marine armor. Your point is invalid!

    3. I want pancakes...so badly right now.

If one got into the pollitical aspect, probably.

Just will say that I hope the violence stays to a minimum and that some form of stability soon returns for all involved.

It's been enjoyable, and occasionally heart-wrenching, to watch this bit of history playing out.

Also, Papyrus, Hippos, Crocodiles, KV-5 and River Deltas.

That was the reason the OP made the thread.

Doubt it was to discuss holiday suggestions.

    I like ricotta filled dates.

I got an Egyptian guy to build my house. The top floor only had one room and a pointed ceiling.:(

    Oh yeah???

Well I deny your reality and assert my own Rayality.

    *Ponders deaf people in court

One bright day in the middle of the night.

Two dead boys got up to fight.

Back to back they faced each other.

One pulled out a knife and shot the other.

A deaf policeman heard the noise and came to save the two dead boys.

And if you don't believe me ask the blind man,

    'cause he saw it too.

I love Egyptian art and history. One of the few things STO occasionally takes a back seat to when I find a good archaeological, (there are far too many vowels in the word archaeological), documentary on the topic\ I tend to only play STO during commercial breaks. That and that whole mess that came out of Akhenaten to to affect Tut is sweet!

Temple at Karnac, funny names that sound like vegitarian alternatives such as "Khufu". Oh, and who could forget Horus, Seht, Bast, Ra.

I once played this one game with a buxom British lady as the lead where I killed Seht... who I accidentally unleashed having yoinked the Amulet of Anubis, with the help of Horus. Then I got squished by the great pyramid and she was somehow in a sequel a few years later *shrugs*

OH! And once while playing Civilization 4, I messed up thanks be to dyslexia and while reading out loud the word "Pyramid" said "Rypermid"

Egypt has inspired several ship names for my captains: Khufu, Khafre, Nile, Hawass (archeologist/head of Egyptian Antiquities, or something like that). :D

Egypt in Arabic is El Mesr, but in Egyptian Arabic, it's Masr.

How would it violate it? Its not talk about religion, politics, etc.

My favorite topic about the Egyptians is that in ancient Egypt a race called the Goa'uld enslaved everyone and took some of the ancient people of Earth as hosts using an ancient device known as the Stargate. And that the ancient Egyptians over threw the Goa'uld and buried the Star Gate till the 1940s.

The ancient Egyptians also domesticated a lot of fruits and vegetables we eat today. And made a 365 day solar calender. They also wore wigs a lot.

    ;)

That would be Antarctica. (remember that is where Atlantis was parked 'several million years ago', and also the MW gate found in the ice cave/crevice was around '50,000 years old')

People, Egypt is a very serious matter.

After all, and Arch will back me up on this, this is the difference between a known ally, and possibly an ally, possibly an enemy, having complete acess to a device built to destroy the Sun.

I want the new Egypt inspired Lego sets but I'm not letting myself buy them. I spent like $1000 on legoes over a year ago and though I love 'em they just sit there because I have other stuff to do. I rarely get to do anything with them because they take so much time.

I mean the new sets have turbans and stuff. Finally some non-European / Japanese origin sets. The world wasn't only knights in shiny armor, pirates and ninjas. :P

The one in Antarctica was the original.
The one in Egypt was brought there later by Ra.
